Mayweather was guaranteed $32 million to 3 million. Both got ppv money, but I'm sure the gap widened even more. I do believe that 90/10 is BS though and straight up ducking.

I think a 75/25 split would be far. That'd see Canelo getting 11.25 million dollars to 3.75 million for GGG if they were to split $15 million

GGG would be the king of the sport, #1 P4P and the face of boxing.
        Not necessarily

JMM was a really good fighter and a puncher but ppl avoided him in his 20's, and he wasnt popular

sometimes when you're too good, it doesnt matter if you're mexican or black.

The Canelo Golovkin fight is a much bigger fight in the United States and Canelo's saying GGG gotta come to 155 and says a 90%/10% split is fair.

But Canelo and Oscar aren't making ridiculous demands to avoid the fight. Right. ROFL.
Any canelo fight is bigger because of CAnelo. Ggs brings nothing to the table besides an awful negotiation team. Hes not going to sell one ticket that canelo can't sell

Right or wrong, that's just how it is. Canelo is the A side and the A side is in the driving seat. This ain't new to Boxing.

As for the weight, I'm sure every soul on the planet would prefer the fight at 160 but Golovkin shot himself in the foot when he said he'll fight anyone from 154-168. Clearly he will fight "some" people in those weight brackets not everyone.
Obviously! I can't figure out why people bother even mentionlng that.

Would Canelo have gone down to 152 for any WW who wanted to fight him?

Would BHop have defended his MW title at a catchweight against anybody who asked him to?

GGG would go down to 154 for Floyd, who weighs around 150 on fight night, but he doesn't want to go down to 155 for Canelo, who would enter the ring around 175. Wow, what a surprise!

Gg was promoted by the biggest promoter in Germany. Yet he's not a superstar. A promoter can only do so much

Yeah they can deny opportunities to the better fighter in favor of guys they deem more marketable, like Sturm and Zbik

He won't step aside again. Canelo will either agree to fight GGG on acceptable terms - to Golovkin - in May, or he will relinquish the WBC title.

                  • The 155 and 90/10 split are not very fair. They are not the worst though. Canelo once said that if he was forced to fight GGG, he would no longer be his friend. That would be the most tragic.

He's agreed to step aside 4 times now. He shouldn't have agreed to step aside once
