The one time in the past 9 years Floyd fought on the inside was against Maidana in the first fight...9 years. Why? Because that's how he ends up hurting his hands. I guarantee you Quintana also punches harder than Floyd and that's not a shot at Floyd but the shell has two holes...the overhand right which we've seen landed on Floyd quite a bit in later years and requires you aren't at a reach disadvantage. Go watch some 70's footage of fighters who've used it and play close attention.Comment

Nope, what i'm saying is they are susceptible to it because of the angle they have to hold their hands at. If they bite the feint it leave them wide open for it, best punch Pacquaio, Maidana, and Mosley landed can behind feints that snuck in the punch. In Floyd's case his athleticism and ring generalship has helped him avoid biting on the feint but its why you hear older fighter say they would've beaten Floyd. To this generation that style is new to older fighters it was a style they were used to see in gyms just not with the mobility that floyd attached to it.Comment

Regarding reach, I have always felt Floyd avoided opponents with a reach advantage: Williams, Margarito. Was wondering if this is what you were touching on.Comment

It is because if you look at Floyd's pot shot he relies on being a certain distances away to see the punch coming on the counter...can't exactly do that if you can't practice the timing in the gym..replicating exact reach is very difficult in the gym...very very difficult. That's not to say Floyd wouldn't have won those fights but he would've had trouble with it.Comment

Floyd himself kept saying that one of his toughest fights was Emanuel Augustus who had 16 losses at the time they fought.
You don't seem to know how the UFC works. It's not protected fighters like Floyd there who only fight styles and people they can beat or people who are old and over the hill.
McGregor fought the #1 p4p and then moved up in weight to fight the undisputed champion (also top 5 p4p fighter) at the higher weightclass. That guy got injured and now he is moving up to 170 to fight Diaz. All within a couple days notice. McGregor doesn't care who he fights and doesn't care at what weights. Floyd would have never done anything like that, you dummy.Comment

In UFC the best have to fight the best, over and over again, thats why almost everyone has a couple losses. And some people have more losses.
