New York, NY- Amir Khan and Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez will go toe to toe on May 7th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

It's been several years since Mayweather had no involvement in a Cinco de Mayo fight card in Las Vegas.

GGG isn't that much bigger than Mayweather. 13 pounds isn't much, people make too big of a deal with weight sometimes. Oscar was nearly twenty pounds bigger than Floyd when he fought him, and didn't Maidana come in at like 170 pounds or something for one of their fights?

I think Max is just echoing what most casual fans think. HBO has effectively marketed GGG as a monster destroyer and casuals tend to always go with power over skill/speed.

I completely disagree with Max. Yes, GGG is too big for Floyd, but if they were to fight, Floyd wins in a very boring fight. The only chance GGG would have is to KO Floyd, but with his defense and counters, I seriously doubt it would happen. GGG cuts off the ring very well, but no flat footed fighter will ever beat Floyd at this stage. The type of fighters that would take Floyd to hell and back are Khan and Crawford, and probably Bradley. Their athletic ability alone would give Floyd fits at his age. Khan's hand speed and aggressive offensive attack would give an aging Floyd fits. Bradley has very good skills and enough championship experience to make it very interesting with Floyd. But Crawford is just an entire different animal and Floyd should stay as far from him as possible. This kid has skill, speed, power in both hands, and a serious killer instinct. He is a nightmare for any aging fighter. He would be to Floyd what Terry Norris was to Leonard. He would not only be a serious challenge for Floyd, but a serious threat! Max can talk all he wants about GGG. He has a lot of limitations when fighting someone as skilled as Floyd. But with Crawford, the only real advantage Floyd would have would be his experience. I think Crawford matches Floyd in every category except for experience, and he packs more power in his shots than Floyd. Crawford has his flaws, but Floyd's age, I don't think he could exploit them.

Well, Kellerman is right. And it's not so much because Golovkin is a monster, yadda yadda.

It's because Floyd already beat everyone else. I hate the man's antics, he says some ****** ****, his record shouldn't really be 49-0, there's a possible PED scandal, and you can question whether he fought fighters in their prime or not... but facts speak for themselves. His resume is amazing, he's moved up for several huge challenges, he revived the boxing world financially, and will go down as one of the greatest of all time skill-wise.

I think Floyd would easily win this fight. Then haters would be asking Floyd to fight Kovalev next.

There's another fighter on HBO that would challenger GGG. And just like Floyd he's two weight classes removed from middleweight. Max rather talk about GGG fighting a retired fighter two weight classes below than fighting an active fighter two weight classes above.

FLOYD'S WEIGHT AT WELTERWEIGHT JUNIOR MIDDLEWEIGHT:

vs Berto: I have no idea.

vs Pacquiao: 149 pounds according to NSAC records, HBO/SHOWTIME didn't weigh him.

Maidana 2: 148 pounds according to showtime scales

                    Maidana 1: No idea.

                    Canelo: 150 pounds showtime scales

                    vs Robert Guererro: No idea.

vs Cotto: 151 pounds HBO scales.

Note: Mayweather is always around or below the 150 mark on thirty day weigh ins, and averages between 148/149 Pounds for his welterweight bouts and 150 pounds for his junior middleweight bouts.

Therefore, your claim that GGG is only 13 pounds heavier than mayweather is the most preposterous statement I've ever heard.

GGG is 18 pounds heavier than Mayweather (168 pounds), and no, Maidana was never 170 pounds stop speaking out of your ass. Showtimes scales showed him coming in at 165 pounds.
