In 2011. That's not a standing offer in 2013, esp from a 21 yr old

People keep stating that the only way Floyd wins is if GGG is at his best weight. That's a weight that Floyd would have a serious disadvantage in. So the conclusion is that the fight becomes interesting as long as Floyd is severely disadvantaged. Include that he's a ***** if he makes it any other way and at the age of 39 and a 20 year career, his skill is the only thing that must make it reasonable. Is ot officially safe to say that he truly is the best of this generation?
Good post! It says a lot that few fighters Mayweather's own size actually stood a chance of beating him. Bringing a MW down to fight a WW would seem absurd for all but the greatest of fighters....

It's not, cause GGG offered to drop down a full division to challenge the reigning, unified, lineal, 2x SWW champ for his belts. Ward offered no weight concession at all

Golovkin was already trying to fight fighters at 168 and still is. It's only Ward that was the problem not the weight, he ducked Ward.

At the end of the day, who has GGG beaten to deserve a fight with Floyd??? Has he even fought a top 5 middleweight??? How about a top 5 jr middleweight??? How about a top 5 super middleweight??? This dude is a hype job at best. How can that be disputed when he's never fought at the elite level??? I honestly don't see this guy beating Canelo or Ward. I would love to see him in the ring with Danny Jacobs. I think he loses against Lara and Andrade. GGG will continue to crush these flat footed guys that stand straight in front of him, simply because he has very good power. But get a fighter with good lateral movement and a solid consistent jab, and he will make GGG look like an amateur. And keep in mind that he is not a very young fighter. They want the big fights with Floyd and Canelo to receive those big paydays. They know his time in this sport is short and they don't really want to risk him losing to what's perceived as a lesser known fighter. Put him in the ring with Lara and the hype is over! Too much movement, too much speed, too much experience. Canelo will eventually make the full move up to 160 and be the legit champion.

Max is esteemed and Max is a somewhat cool customer at this point but that geeky, corny Max is still in there.

GGG wrecks Floyd Jr. It's a ****** fight to discuss. Do people also think Pacquiao could fight GGG and not be KO'd?

Maybe he needed a SMW tune-up, probably not 3. He was going for Froch, Wards best win_spotting him home turf. That fell through, famously Froch said "we'll swerve him if we can". Now Gggs got Canelo to strip of his belt before signing deals with bigger B siders demanding 50/50 a year ahead
