Oh, so Lara wouldn't be on that list? I think Lara/Mayweather would be a better fight. GGG is not able bodied enough to beat Floyd. His heavy hands don't mean much. There are plenty of people in Floyd's career who had the power to knock him out. But they never had the opportunity, even with Floyd standing right in front of them.

GGG isn't that much bigger than Mayweather. 13 pounds isn't much, people make too big of a deal with weight sometimes. Oscar was nearly twenty pounds bigger than Floyd when he fought him, and didn't Maidana come in at like 170 pounds or something for one of their fights?
Then why won't Golovkin drop a couple for Canelo ?
Why are folks calling Khan a lunatic for jumping 8lbs for Canelo ?
Size matters.Comment

lol the only person who can beat a retired fighter who is like 40 now and has lost a few steps and is no where near the fighter he was 4 or 5 years ago is ggg. a guy who is trying to make fights at 168 and has demolished everyone he has fought at 160. if that doesnt tell u everything u need to know about how great mayweather is nothing will.
But we all know the story people wont admit mayweather is great every win hes ever had he doesnt get credit for theres always 376 reasons why he won except that he was just better. hes always ducking someone and as soon he fights someone we get 432 more excuses why it doesnt matter and then they just add another name to the list. Its ridiculous how these networks and promoters are still using mayweather name to sell their fighters by feeding the mayweather trolls
its almost comical at this pointLast edited by Cinci Champ; 03-01-2016, 11:58 AM.Comment

I completely disagree with Max. Yes, GGG is too big for Floyd, but if they were to fight, Floyd wins in a very boring fight. The only chance GGG would have is to KO Floyd, but with his defense and counters, I seriously doubt it would happen. GGG cuts off the ring very well, but no flat footed fighter will ever beat Floyd at this stage. The type of fighters that would take Floyd to hell and back are Khan and Crawford, and probably Bradley. Their athletic ability alone would give Floyd fits at his age. Khan's hand speed and aggressive offensive attack would give an aging Floyd fits. Bradley has very good skills and enough championship experience to make it very interesting with Floyd. But Crawford is just an entire different animal and Floyd should stay as far from him as possible. This kid has skill, speed, power in both hands, and a serious killer instinct. He is a nightmare for any aging fighter. He would be to Floyd what Terry Norris was to Leonard. He would not only be a serious challenge for Floyd, but a serious threat! Max can talk all he wants about GGG. He has a lot of limitations when fighting someone as skilled as Floyd. But with Crawford, the only real advantage Floyd would have would be his experience. I think Crawford matches Floyd in every category except for experience, and he packs more power in his shots than Floyd. Crawford has his flaws, but Floyd's age, I don't think he could exploit them.
Trouble is Golovkin would get drained down to 154 and rightly so as his team have said it a dozen times. So then the whole fight depends on what affect that has on GGG.
I actually see the Khanelo fight as less farcical than a GGG-FMJ fight. If Floyd lost it would be "he was too old and GGG was too big" - and if GGG loses and it'd be he was drained. What is the point at this stage? Apart from huge ppv money from the casuals. Ah yes --- that is a very good point! Suspend boxing as a sport for one fight and let's go with "It's Showtime Folks!!!!"Comment

Floyd hadn't overachieved his best win over PAC, someone smaller than himself. That's reality.
As for the nelo Floyd fought he was no monster. Hagler is never criticised, so why is GGG? Floyd doesn't have to move up but don't act like he's done things or taken risks others havent.
So if I hear I suppose Floyd will be asked to fight ward next I swear I will put my fist through living room door
Manny is not Floyd's best win.Comment

If Maidana could land on FMJ then Golovkin sure as hell would. Also Golovkin would take 5 of Floyd's punches to get in 2 of his own. That won't work against a heavy hitting SMW but I expect GGG could withstand FM's punches - assuming they fought at 160.

He fought Maidana flat-footed in the first fight.
And yep, he did it intentionally...... he fought Cotto the same way.
We saw what happened in the rematch when Mayweather boxed him.
Mayweather > Golovkin at 154.
That would be an extremely frustrating fight for Golovkin.Comment
