Never understood why cotto is so respected as a good win. He loses every time when his opponent is any good. I mean his best win is over Shane Mosley? Can someone explain to me why he's such a big win?

absolutely no reason outside of that he is a draw and have fans.

He lost every major fight he had.

Cotto's a big deal because he fought everybody. Check the list. And lots of these fighters were either undefeated or still in their prime. And I don't understand why people mention Shane Mosley like if that weren't a huge win, like if it were the past-prime Mosley from now or something. Mosley was still in his prime back then, and, refer to Margarito's loss to Mosley, a prime Mosley is a BIG deal. At the end of the day, in Cotto's case, it's a whole career of fights that stand out, even more so than any signature wins he has. Oh, and, Cotto's losses have a bunch of asterisks all over them, too. Overlooking the circumstances around them would be to oversimplify the equation here, in my opinion.

And I'll go back to Mosley, because I really don't get the argument. A past-prime Mosley almost knocked Mayweather out; do you think a PRIME Mosley was a walk in the park? C'mon.

Just rewatched the fight...totally forgot that cotto again ran out the ring like sore loser not giving a interview just like he did in Canelo fight.

Mosley was NOT in his prime when Cotto beat him. Early 2000s on roids was his prime. 4 losses later unofficially 5 losses if you count the robbery in the oscar rematch and he was almost 4 years removed from last holding a world title when Cotto fought him. Looking back Mosley beating Margarito says more about Margarito without hand wraps then it did about Mosley or him still being in his prime.

Cotto fought everyone and didn't duck anyone like everyones favorite fighter does. He won titles in 4 different weight classes. I mean, its not rocket science.
