Jim Ross admitted he doesn't really know **** about boxing compared to hardcore fans, but no one will ever match his passion and storytelling. He also commentates college football and MMA.

Jim Ross is the greatest commentator of all-time in sports, wrestling, or anything. He made WWE look like a legit sport lol.

I don't know how much knowledge Ross has, but he can't be any worse than Gus Johnson or Jim Lampley. And he isn't a biased douche or a racist like Lampley either.

I don't watch WWE and don't know what other qualifications he has outside of wrestling but I do remember when they had the XFL and this clown was calling the football games...he was god awful.

Jim is an all time great and I'm definitely more likely to watch a lower level boxing event if JR is on commentary.

Have spent some time with JR behind the scenes over the years and he's one of the funniest mother****ers I've ever met.
