Why are we worried about whether or not the guy gets to the hall of fame or not?
Is he retired? No. Is he about to retire? No.

How about we just enjoy the guy while we can. Enjoy a guy who brings it every single time, no matter who they put in front of him.

          Hopkins > Bumlovkin
Granted. But as a middleweight, Glen Johnson was ass and Hopkins blew right threw him and every other also-ran in the middleweight division.

I'm not discrediting Johnson's accomplishments. All I'm doing is pointing out the FACT (your favorite word), that Hopkins' ruled over a mediocre division prior to facing Trinidad. In FACT (see what I did there?), the only elite level fighter he faced prior to '01 was a green Roy Jones.

This isn't a knock on Hopkins either. The man kept right on grinding under the radar until his first big opportunity presented itself. That breakthrough performance vs. Tito put Hopkins on the map.

That's were GGG finds himself right now. None of the recent lineal champions have seemed eager to meet him, which is weak.

Look we get it man, you hate Golovkin. Not only do you constantly talk about him here, you constantly talk about him on twitter. It's pretty much all you tweet about "Bumlovkin this, Bumlovkin that". It can't be healthy to hate a man this much. It's crazy how you can spend so much time talking about a guy you don't like, what's the point in all that? But I guess you're the "ThaFightDoctor" so you know best, like saying Quillin is better than Golovkin since he beat a great fighter in Winky Wright that was really on point man!
            Haha. Owned!

Zab was the lineal champ how can you even compare the two

Yeah unfortunately. The way Cliff Rold explained it, it seems like there's no hope for a legit IBHOF. They need to do it yearly for the funds. GGG defnitely has a shot at making it, just cause it's pretty weak.

Good list. First 4 for sure. I'd throw Wlad in there as well. Bradley and Ward have a little work left to do. GGG has significantly more work to do. But the guys who are sure things all have many more fights than GGG. Who cares about his resume or legacy if he retires now? He's got at least 3 or 4 good years left. Plenty of time to get the big fights. And he will. Now, if you want to argue whether or not his current resume warrants a P4P ranking...
