  • Face the facts, If Golovkin retired after his next fight...

..He ain't going to the HOF. To be honest, I don't even think beating Alvarez would be enough to get him in...

If he unifies the division absolutely. It's probably the one accomplishment that will save Zab Judah as well.

I like GGG but real boxing fans knows. Is resume is nothing great right now. Its not as bad as haters try to say, but its not a top 5 P4P resume. Its sad that alot of fighter in his division are duking him by pricing themself out or trying to drain him to a new division. GGG will have to make decisions pretty soon. Moving up or stay there waiting on these guys to grow a pair...

GGG isn't a big enough risk taker to make it to the HOF. Maybe he will get there eventually.

He's a fun fighter to watch and we should leave it at that. He never fought anyone memorable and will be lost to history because of that. Somebody mentioned Juddah but Zab had fights with big names and will always be seen/remembered because of that. When you go watch old fights you watch two good names and when a guy doesn't have those fight, he's dust in the wind.

Doesn't mean he's not a fun fighter to watch though. He's bringing something positive to the sport, he just won't have any lasting significance and is too unwilling to to take chances, and getting too old, to change that.
