    Hey Mexican Canelo fans

Do you lose respect for Canelo if he doesn't fight GGG in September? We know Canelo has taken tough fights with Mayweather,Trout,Lara when he didn't have to but what's your feeling if he stalls out on the GGG fight?

Mexican fans seem to be the most loyal and passionate fans in the sport so I wanna get you guys and gals opinions.

My respect for him doesn't change. Nor should anyone else's.

Things can go on behind the scenes at any time and cause a delay. Literally anything. But I guess it's easier to yell out, "He's ducking! He's ducking!" right?

And no, Mexican fans are not the most loyal fans in the sport. I've noticed that a lot of Mexicans jump on bandwagons the first opportunity they get.. spout out nonsense.. and then when their fighter loses, they kick them to the curb.

They did this for Abner Mares, Chavez Jr. Jessie Vargas, and even Marquez up until he redeemed himself with the Pacquiao KO. It even happened after Canelo lost to Mayweather but Canelo and his people built his popularity back up pretty well so far. I'm Mexican, I know this.

I agree that the 'he's ducking' accusation is overused in the boxing community, WAY TOO MUCH actually, but certainly NOT in the Canelo GGG situation. Every fan has the right to call him a duck for insisting on the 155 crap.

That's a blatant duck. No fighter will ever admit to being a duck, so we have to call him out on his actions, as they say, actions speak louder than words, and they should, because otherwise celebrities would lie to us everyday and we would be idiots not to measure their words with their actions.

The 155 crap is a duck attempt. So glad GGG is the mandatory, coz now Canelo can't duck under 155, anyway wtf where else have you heard of a fighter fighting four or five times in a row in a catchweight?

Man, lemmie stop right there before I puke.

Never! Canelo is thee face of boxing. The reason I love and respect this taino god more is cause he beat that pink crocs and leggings wearing **** cotto. It was good to see all the maricones hide for months.

Canelo calls the shots. If Triple Flop aka Mr. 97k PPV Buys doesn't want the fight at 155, then he can go fight 7-Eleven and Uber Drivers for less.
Canelo is a megastar, Triple Flop is a village star.

What can happen behind the scenes besides an injury? When Canelo accepted the Cotto fight he knew going it he would have to fight GGG next. They both came to an agreement to both have a interm fight first. Canelo agreed after his next fight he'll have 15 days to decide if he wants to fight GGG or not. It's really a simple situation. If he chooses not to fight GGG he's ducking.

I am already disappointed with Khan as an opponent, but if he fights GGG at the full middleweight limit win or lose I would respect him. That being said Canelo seems to be turning out to be quite a diva so I won't hold my breath. If he doesn't want to fight at the middleweight limit he should vacate.

Not at all because he will fight him eventually, it would be ****** to go straight for GGG on his first 160 fight, GGG is a beast he will eventually be champion in 3 diffrent weight clases from 160-175.

He's not stopping the fight. Gg doesn't even want to negotiate on the weight. Can't blame canelo. Gg should agree to 155 but ask for more money in return. Takes 2 to negotiate. Abel said 160 or no fight then it's no fight

As far as i know i am the only one born, raised & living in México in this forum so my opinion is the only one that matters. Son.

Anyways back on topic, no i do not lose respect for Nelo if he doesnt fight GGG at all. Gennady himself should be looking for an actual new challenge because at this point its pretty damn clear that his punching power is way too much for 154ers and 160ers. I wanna see if if he can do the same one division above but it seems like im the only one asking for GGG to embrace a new challange, everyone else wants him to fight Canelo or even worst a 147er in Floyd Mayweather, wich makes no sense at all.

Canelo has had a great carreer so far and he still has many more years left in this sht. U digg. I can't blame Team Canelo for doing the Khan fight, he is coming off a great W over Cotto and has been in there with great skilled fighters like Lara Floyd and Trout, theres nothing wrong with an "easy" fight every now and then, sht, even Golovkin does it...son.
