Andre Ward vs Kovalev set for November 19

Agreed, I'm hoping Ward doesn't get away with doing his best impersonation of Wladimir Klitschko but he tends to always do that when he has a big fight he did it to Froch he did it to Kessler and he certainly will try to do it against Kovalev.
Hopefully, Kovalev promoters get a good referee and a fair venue If this one is to happen I still have my doubts.

Think about it....who wants or will allow a PPV to be stopped because of a DQ? No one in their right mind is going to want the fight halted because of a foul fest in the ring.

I'm sure it will be brought to the ref's attention in the locker room pre-fight that if Ward proceeds to foul Kovalev in the fight and nothing is done about it that fouls will be given in return. The problem with Froch and Kessler is that they allowed themselves to be fouled....I absolutely cannot see Kovalev allowing him self to get cheated in the ring.

With all the time and money invested in setting it up, someone with power is going to tell that ref to get schit straightened out quick.

I think Kovalev will react violently. He might let Ward get away with it once or twice but as soon as Ward tries to puch him in the clinch, Kovalev is going to toss him across the ring. I can see him complaining to the ref a few times and then body slamming Ward to prove a point.

This won't be like other Ward or Mayweather fights where the ref ignores every single illegal act. Kovalev will make it so out of control that the ref will be forced to reprimand Ward just for the sake of avoiding a DQ.

I agree. This fight will be Garcia/Matthysse all over again. No one on this message board will admit that they picked Matthysse to KO Garcia, just as they won't admit that they predicted Ward's doom after he beats Kovalev.

Great point. Although I'm not sure who wins at this point, one thing is for sure, if Ward wins this place will turn into a KKK strong hold.

Finally a fight once again when the better fighter Who's black is losing in the polls on this site. This is the kind of fight that gives me the chills and put a smile on my face to see where the fans are putting their bets behind. However, I can't lie... this is really a 50/50 fight. This isn't an overhyped match-up it's really two guys that are the antithesis of each other style. Kovalev gets smarter and becomes even more technical each fight. Ward been suffering some injuries and been outside the ring, but he showcased skills that's above the rest last June. I just hope this is a great fight. I wonder.. Kovalev beats Ward he's definitely P4P number 1 no argument from me. Got to give it to him but Ward's is underestimated I think and he will prove why he's the best.
