What boxers hit harder than Tyson?

Wlad, Ortiz and Wilder and probably some others hit harder today. The heavyweights who hit harder from the past are too numerous to name them all. Tyson, Lewis, Louis, Liston,Shavers and Foreman to name a few. He is a good puncher but not a great puncher.

Shavers became famous for his punching power because he punched very hard. His huge punch is his only claim to fame. He was never a champion or an outstanding all around fighter but he certainly punched extremely hard. The fighters who fought him including Ali and Holmes all said he was a terrific puncher. Most boxing fans who saw him fight would rate him a harder puncher than Fury. Fury would beat him but not because he hit harder.

shavers rocked ali, foreman didnt phase ali
shavers blew out a glove
everyone that fought both shavers and foreman said shavers hit harder
everyone that fought foreman and not shavers said foreman hit hardest
shavers made larry unconscious in 1 punch Tyson took many many shots to make him go, the final one on the button, shavers was a single skull shot (sure larry got up but if you understand how conciousness is lost via a loss of electrolytes, and how much harder it is to put someone out with 1 shot compared to many and how long they stay out and why, you will clearly understand that Shavers hit harder than Tyson)
I could go on, but your just a troll who knows I like shaversLast edited by AlexKid; 02-15-2016, 10:15 AM.

Frazier and Henry Cooper knocked down a young Ali, Shavers just rocked a shot version.
Tyson knocked Holmes out. Shavers knocked him down.
Foreman stopped Lyle. Lyle stopped Shavers.
Shavers has one one-punch knockout on film. Tyson has dozens.
The fact that you feel the need to write that nonsense in bold shows that you're just an idiot who's unwilling to let go of a myth and will do anything to justify that myth, including indulging in pseudo-science with no basis in fact (and which makes no logical sense anyway). Tyson was not only a better finisher than Shavers, he was a better one-punch knockout artist as well.
Shavers is the most overrated puncher in the sport.

The speed, delivery and compactness in which Tyson threw his punches was very important in his KO's. Of course, Tyson was strong himself, and well built, but he was usually undersized, shorter, with shorter arm length. Tyson had the height and reach of your current average MW. Back in the day he would have been a perfect HW though, in the days of Marciano where HW's were just 190-200lbs, 5'9" - 6', 6'3" at most.
Looking at his record, he was the perfect HW in his own era too. If only he'd kept away from the ******* and the gold-diggers.
I get your meaning though. He was really no bigger than the greats of much earlier eras, like Dempsey, Louis, and Marciano.

Fighters ALWAYS tend to praise those whom they defeat
when someone like Ali or Holmes claim stuff like ¨SHavers is the hardest puncher ever and hardest I've ever fought¨ they are really praising themselves because they survived shavers ¨the hardest puncher ever¨. they're just full of wank
anyway, none of those undersized old timers fought a true Heavyweight or Super Heavyweight. even Foreman, who was considered a monster back in the day, would be small ass heavy today, they all would be considered blown up cruisers today.
So comparing a bumbeater cw like Shavers with real powerpunching super Hw's like Wlad or Lewis is pure *****s
and when it comes to Tyson, his size, frame and type of opposition he destroyed (including Holmes, whom Shavers couldn't finish) should tell you he hits harder than Shavers.
Agree 100%
People get caught up in myths e.g. "omg Shavers!!!"
