Povetkin is Wilder's best opponent to date. Hope Wilder can pull it off but it's a 50-50 fight to me because Wilder is yet to be tested properly at this level. It's actually a great match up and let's hope Wilder rises to greatness and gets the W to setup the inevitable Fury or Haye clash.

I agree the fight will happen but I'm on the fence on who will win. Povetkin is a legit A level fighter & he is in the best shape of his career. He has lots of experience & if he gets inside he will let his hands go. Wilder has improved & if he can keep Povetkin on the outside than he has a good chance of winning. The Klitschko loss was the best thing to happen to Povetkin. He got in better shape & took no easy fights to get back in this position. Comparing their last 4 opponents it's tough to predict what will happen... Stiverne, Molina, Duhaupas & Szpilka compared to Charr, Takam, Perez & Wach. Povetkin is 37 so he has age going against him but he looks in great shape. The key to Wilder winning is his jab & the key for Povetkin is getting inside & letting that left hook go...This is a great matchup. I got Povetkin winning by knockout in the championship rounds...

I think it is a good fight for Wilder, it won't be as straight forward as with Stiverne who likes to hang outside and counter though. Povetkin can rush inside, but the question is what does he do once he gets there to me I see him mostly stand around in close rather than grind.

Should be a good fight though and both guys run the risk of getting knocked out.

You seriously just listed beating Hasim Rahman as an accomplishment for Povetkin.

              You seriously just did that.

Agreed. Povetkin is a killer against shorter fighters, but he looks markedly less effective against taller guys who can keep their distance. I think he does a bit better than Stiverne, but the fights are going to look similar, I agree.
