I feel sorry for Wade. Only 18 fights in and this is his assignment. If he could have drawn Lemiuex, it wouldn't be as bad, but he's going to get beat down and that's not good for a young fighter.

Just hoping Canelo or Saunders or Jacobs is next.

Actually if Canelo is not next, he should be stripped, but I don't see that happening.

Even Tureano was kind of lame choice of an opponent, but GGG team went from worse to worser to worst. A fight with Wade should have been staged in Kazakhstan, where people would gather just to see GGG, no matter who his opponent is.
But to stage this fight at Forum and pad it with another meaningless fight, featuring Chocolatito with some unknown bum, and price the tickets so high? This is a recipe for disaster. Seems like GGG team gets caught up in all the hype. I am GGG fan, but I have zero interest in it, and hope that his team will get more real after his April bout fails both at the gate and in ratings.

Someone's awfully mad. I dont hate Golovkin, I hate this fight. And honestly i dont think Golovkin needs you to defend him. Furthermore, you have exposed yourself in your short time on this site as an extreme fanboy, so really no1 really cares too much what you have to say about the topic. A horrible fight is a horrible fight. Call it what it is and move on. People will respect that more.

I know enough about boxing to understand that a world champ has to fight his mandos and to be able to see that Golovkin is an awesome fighter, definitely one of the current P4P best in the world.

Wade is not a bad opponent for him at the moment. He's a former top amateur - 4 times US champ, unbeaten as a pro and, what matters most, he has the guts to want to fight GGG.

Wade is Golovkin's mando. He has to fight him or lose his IBF belt.

Wade is also a former top US amateur and unbeaten as a pro. I think K2 will be able to sell this fight to an American audience quite well.

It won't be on HBO PPV, I wouldn't think, but it will do ok at the gate and in the ratings.

I'm pissed at his handlers. He grew up like 5 minutes away from my uncle's house. Everybody thinks he's in over his head. I just hope he's getting paid well for this massacre.
