Just a side note. In the poster in your sig, wade has this look on his face like "this fight is straight up garbage".

No, it's way worse than floyd-jmm. The only problem with the floyd-jmm fight was floyd missing the catchweight.. Marquez was a legit p4p fighter, reigning lightweight champ, was coming off a great win vs Juan diaz, and was the main rival to the guy everyone wanted floyd to fight (manny). Plus floyd was coming back after nearly 2 years..

Canelo-khan is none of that... It's a train wreck of a mismatch

No, it is WORSE and here is why

I still like Canelo, 1 fight is not the end of the world but the man has a Dance Partner to make one of the biggest fights in boxing, why this fight is not happening in May instead of fighting a MUCH SMALLER GUY!

This is no different than when he fight Josesito Lopez to be honest. It is a smaller guy who can't do anything to hurt him so he will likely just walk through his punches and punish him.

Khan has everything to gain and absolutely nothing to lose!

I'm sorry but Cotto and Canelo RUINED the Middleweight Division and you throw in Billy Joe Saunders and Danny Jacobs who are just happy to have titles and NEITHER are talking about trying to unifying because they know that means going through GGG

I'm a BOXING FAN not a BOXER FAN, I have to call BS when I see it I don't give a *** who it is or if it is a Fighter a Like.

          I feel sorry for him

I remember him from the amateurs cause he's a DC areaboy and I support all DC fighters but even dudes back home know that he's in over his head.

I'm not PBP, but there are a few points in round 9 where Mayweather walks Alvarez down, and in round 10 he gets the ginger on the ropes and smacks him around pretty damn good for like a minute straight.

you didn't even read my responses in that thread, and you're not reading them now. that's a white flag. you didn't even show up to the fight, and now you're claiming you won

you genuinely don't have any content to offer.

you've got an opportunity to talk about how floyd mayweather is a well rounded fighter in the context of historic, well rounded welterweights, paricutlarly tommy hearns, ray leonard, and ray robinson. prove it. you're also welcome to show me some rounds where floyd mawyeather walked canelo down, which is what that thread was really about!

now show me some rounds! let's see what you've got! prove me wrong. don't just say i'm wrong and act like that is suffient. you talk about content like it is a bad thing. you talk about talking boxing, or understanding its history, like it's a bad thing.

hit the @ new engalnd button when you are done, and i will get back to it shortly. don't be a *****. let's see what you've got!
I read and replied to you. I was discussing his ability to fight from all ranges, pick his shots and transition smoothly from defense to offense. I pointed out how your breakdown was limited to his career at welterweight while completely ignoring how much more offensive he was in the lower weight classes. And I also pointed out how limited your boxing knowledge was to speed, power and chin. None of which, have to do with being a multi-dimensional fighter. Those are just physical attributes. Amir Khan has blinding speed but is not multi-dimensional because he has no inside game and is not nearly as effective fighting at close range.

Dude you said "he boxes and counters on the inside and boxes and counters on the outside"...WTF does that even mean? Of course he ****ing boxes

Now stop quoting me and derailing threads because your butthurt over making ****** ignorant comments.

His definition of walking down is Margarito/Cotto style. If that's his definition, I concede and it didn't happen at that level. But from what I understand walking down to mean, he did it numerous points in the fight. He mixed up and varied his attack beautifully.

                      the 9th round?

                      where?

in the 10th he has alvarez on the ropes very briefly, but he doesn't make anything meaningful happen. he actually lets canelo off the ropes by blatantly backing up. he's not effective enough to warrant the risk. he's better off in the center of the ring than when canelo is one the ropes. if that's not a flaw, i don't know what is.

the only other place i remember from when i scoured that fight for instances when floyd had canelo on the ropes [] was the 7th. and in both instances that we are discussing, the 10th round and the 7th, it's obvious that canelo doesn't feel he's in any real danger, and that he's looking for spots to counter.

these kids claimed in more than one thread that mayweather walked canelo down. it was monumentally ******. don't fight their battles for them . hand them some rope, IE an opportunity to argue their cases, and let them hang themselves.
