You call that a super fight, I call it "let's see how the casuals fall for the sales pitch." Ward has never been on PPV and while his numbers are also decent on premium cable, we just saw Golovkin take a bloodbath in lack of sales. Kovalev for being the man at light heavy isn't exactly swimming in star power either. Let's not start hyping that fight until we actually see a promo for it, Kovalev has a hurt hand and Andre has a knack for injuries as of late. Golovkin is fighting who has to, I don't have an issue with that...do with fighters like garcia and quillin who've ducked their mando's though. Didn't have an issue with Kovalev vs Mohammedi either.

Agree that fight might not even do 200k ppv buys

Golovkin couldn't be booked in the states up until just four years ago or so, this is well documented. So let's just look at the last four years...the guy went from "who the fk is GGG?" to ...

People are publicly telling you they don't want a piece of the guy, those are three top ten fighters at that weight, the biggest names in that division...two which are already universally agreed upon future hall of famers and the third being the "new face of boxing" according to some. After a certain point the reality is even if you don't like the boxer there is something pretty f'ing special about him if people don't want any PARTS of him...I'm not even going to start quoting legendary former fighters and what they've said about the man...this isn't some nobody this is someone with the same pedigree as practically andre ward just because his medal is silver and not gold doesn't make him any less accomplished in the greater scheme of things.
