I agree 100%. It also hurts all boxers. It takes much longer to build a decent resume with so many fighters being brought on slow. They reach challenger level and they sit there waiting for their shot. Then they get it and can't fight another champion. With 4 or 5 belts per division that means that at least 4 of the best fighters in the division aren't options for each other. People are so desperate to hold on to their belt (Hiya Kell, Hiya Billy Joe, Hiya Canelo, Hiya Danny, Hiya just about every belted fighter) and with there being so many belts and 'promoters/advisers/managers' it's a poor situation.

How many times has a fight been announced in the last few years and you've said 'Damn, that's a big big fight'.

Quigg/Frampton is possibly the best grudge/ top level fighters in their prime match up in ages and it's at a light weight and is British domestic.

Why do i keep seeing people say Khan's power won't bother Canelo? Mayweather backed up Canelo and Khan hits harder than him.

How come when Canelo does this crap, we say" Well he decided to do it his way" or "he's going to do his thing". When did we stop calling a ducker, a ducker. He proved it here. Canelo-Khan is a huge fight because of the names on both sides. The ppv will probably do 500k. giving Oscar leverage with the GGG fight (which will happen)

Canelo isn't fighting GGG this year. He's know he will get bodied. Joke to call him Middle weight Champion.

I fear we wont have seen the last of Canelo fighting welterweights for the MW title.

But if he continues to do this then he may as well move to 160 anyways. He needs to acclimate to the right weight. He isn't too small to do it.

Mayweather backed him up with skill. Too fast and too sharp. Canelo at the time wasn't very good. I'm still not convinced he's good or can even become great but hes improved alot though and to be honest khan sucks. I really dont see where all this hype he gets about how good and fast he is

screw Khan and what Khan represents screw Canelo also

How do all the legitimate contenders feel at 154lbs and 160lbs?? WTF. This fight is a disgrace to every kid who fought hard and deserved his opportunity. Khan a ********* deserves nothing.

This has been my question and argument for the past two years for quite a few divisions. The sheer amount of leapfrogging that is going on in boxing is insane. You no longer need to compete in a division and earn your shot just have the right promoter it seems.
