I agree 100%. It also hurts all boxers. It takes much longer to build a decent resume with so many fighters being brought on slow. They reach challenger level and they sit there waiting for their shot. Then they get it and can't fight another champion. With 4 or 5 belts per division that means that at least 4 of the best fighters in the division aren't options for each other. People are so desperate to hold on to their belt (Hiya Kell, Hiya Billy Joe, Hiya Canelo, Hiya Danny, Hiya just about every belted fighter) and with there being so many belts and 'promoters/advisers/managers' it's a poor situation.
How many times has a fight been announced in the last few years and you've said 'Damn, that's a big big fight'.
Quigg/Frampton is possibly the best grudge/ top level fighters in their prime match up in ages and it's at a light weight and is British domestic.
