A short while back, no way would fans support greedy TV networks over fighters..... especially if it killed mega-fights.

I don't like the boxing " fans " of today, they are mostly childish clowns.

But kovalev is the A- side yes ? He has a bigger following and is considered the best light heavyweight in the world...Stevenson would also receive 50-50 and the largest purse of his career....showtime are not giving him any dates and he's not signed to them exclusively.....kovalev is the A- side duh and I've been reading many posts from you about canelo being the A- side with golovkin ....you have double standards bongo.....but the reality is kovalev has ward lined up for a big end of year fight ...Stevenson has nothing major planned so I don't think kovalev is gonna lose money but I know Stevenson is.....showtime are not concerned about Stevenson and they want to get involved because it's gonna be a high profile fight....HBO are always on board with kovalev.....so either Stevenson fights on there show or he can go back pimping with his black suit and purple pimp tie and spend time with his 50 dollar hoes .....kovalev is the A- side remember. As far as the deal itself, really impossible to know what the truth is anymore as we aren't privy to enough info. Fans want to pretend they know what's up just based on which fighter they like, and that's just being ignorant. I think both sides are playing games.

Kovalev's team resigned to HBO knowing the fight was out there. No one forced them to make that move then try to have Stevenson, a Haymon fighter, fight on HBO. Its like they are more concerned with making Haymon look bad than actually getting the fight done.

Also sounds like team Kovalev was a little shook considering they're bringing up Stevenson's people coming in the ring with him

stevenson dont look 39 tho..thats the thing u can talk that all u want but he still ko'ing mf's spark out..and his age has nothing to do with the rights he signed over to haymon..haymon invested in him to grow..bc he knows he has some big fights at hw...not to let hbo do all the work and not with ppl taht he is on good terms with

How is Stevenson growing? As far as the arc of his career is concerned, it's on a serious downswing. Who has he fought recently? His level of competition since he won the WBC title and loves to talk about being the lineal champ at LHW, is abysmal.
You claim he's knocking mf's spark out yet those mf's are either blown up SMW's such as Sakio Bika or are nowhere near true world title contention like Tommy Karpency. The last decent opponent he faced was Fonfara and if there were still 15 rounders, he would've knocked Stevenson's gassed ass out.
Meanwhile, Kovalev beat Hopkins and Pascals twice, two contenders who Stevenson wouldn't even face, let alone agreeing to fight Kovalev. Those are just the facts. I'm amazed that there are so many Haymonites and Stevenson supporters who are making pathetic and unfounded attempts to defend Stevenson's choice of opponents and behavior outside the ring and during negotiations for a potential unification that neither him nor his bosses have any intention of making.
Say what you want about Kovalev dominating a 50 year old man in Hopkins but Stevenson was scared to even agree to fight him. He is the LHW Wilder right now, all talk but no action. Wilder talks about being the best in the world and wanting to unify and take over the HW division but he fights Molina, Duhaupas, Szpilka and anyone else he can find that is in non-contention. What a joke.
