wrong again...Porter-Broner is Showtime Championship Boxing on CBS. Have u seen the commercials? No mention of PBC. This is just putting a Sho card on CBS. Stevenson was on cbs as part of pbc. that was a time buy. think before you speak. And you just made my point even more by saying that maybe Stevenson has a showtime deal and haymon traded a broner fight for Stevenson to fight on Spike. If that is the case he can trade some other fighter to allow Stevenson to fight on HBO for one fight. class dismissed.

Or, you could put boxing first, and admit that there is NO REASON WHATSOEVER why that fight cannot be a simple joint broadcast.

A joint broadcast is obviously the fairest outcome for that fight, OBVIOUSLY.

Why do you allow either, your love for Kovalev, or your hate for Stevenson, to cloud your judgement?

There is no reason whatsoever why a joint broadcast cannot happen.

OK, I will give my side..... the reason why the current offer (that HBO airs the fight, and Showtime can simply go and fk themselves) is completely unacceptable, and basically looks like a convenient duck of Stevenson by K2/HBO.....

Is because.....
1) Showtime would be disadvantaged
2) There is no reason whatsoever why that fight cannot be a joint broadcast
3) That " offer " (duck) obviously just killed the fight

2) a standoff, with one side demanding exclusive rights, simply to maximize their market share and profit margin..... leading to a failed negotiation

Whilst I rate Kovalev over Stevenson, and I suspect that he would be the betting favorite in that fight.....

..... it appears to me that ME/HBO would MUCH PREFER that Kovalev not fight Adonis Stevenson.

And I believe the only reason why is because Stevenson has 1-punch KO power..... even if Kovalev was the overwhelming favorite, and even if he was winning that fight handsomely, he could still easily get caught late in the fight..... completely upsetting the apple-cart, and Duva's ONLY relevant fighter.

I don't believe that Kovalev has any say in the matter, and I think that he believes what he is being told.

FACT: If you really want something, and your current course of action is clearly not working..... then you change your current course of action.

were you campaigning for floyd and at the time canelo's showtime ppvs to be joint broadcast with hbo??? Stevenson hasn't fought on showtime in over a year. he can do this one fight and then go back. if he beats kovalev he is an even bigger star coming off of a career high payday that kovalev brings
