I'm talking about the Chavez whose trainer was Ronnie Shields (who stopped the fight). I don't know if it is 1 or 2. I don't seem to know one of them.

And Leonard is not better than Floyd. He may be a bigger puncher but not a better overall boxer if he's been dropped and stopped.
Floyd never fought anyone remotely close to the fighters that Leanard did. If he fought the caliber of opponents such as Hearns, Hagler, Duran and Benitez there Is no doubt he would have been dropped and stopped. He was hurt against Demarcus Corley for Gods sake. All the guys mentioned above had the potential to send Floyd out if the ring on a stretcher.

would duran be wearing pillow gloves, be figthing in a football field sized ring, and would kenny bayless be the ref? these things are much more important than their actual skill sets because if these things are in floyd's favor there is essentially no fight except when floyd wants to fight.

one thing we can all agree is that duran was 100x better than maidana and Floyd was fighting his fight, he couldn't get around it without stipulations
          No, we can't.

Why compare Floyd who was fighting Maidana? Why not compare Floyd around N'dou or Gatti. That was a vicious Floyd.

I'm not even sure Duran is better than Maidana. **** the nostalgics.

I don't know about 100x better than Maidana but yes Duran is better. But Maidana is much dirtier than Duran which is partially what gave Floyd trouble. And lets not forget, Floyd was 37 years old when he fought Maidana. All the greats were losing to subpar competition at the age of 37.

Floyd is an inch taller has 6 inches extra in reach and has better foot speed and hand speed.

Duran beats him like Leonard but worse.

And Floyd doesn't have Leonard's toughness.

              This is a no-brainer.

Exactly. They think Floyd's overrated ass is a boxing GOD or something. Corley hurt him and was busting him up. Castillo beat him but got robbed. If Maidana didn't gas, he would've won. Floyd was having a hard time against a shop worn Cotto but pulled it out down the stretch. He almost retired after that fight. It took him 10 rounds to stop a LW in Hatton. Smh. Maidana also knocked his tooth out in the 3rd round of the rematch and hurt him BAD at the end of it. Manny out countered Floyd and made him look flat out ****** at times. But he would give Duran a boxing lesson!?!?!?! Hahahaha! These idiots kill me man. Duran would hurt Floyd. Period. Floyd is overrated and skipped a few styles in route to retiring undefeated. Manny fought more versatile opponents and we all saw what happened when they fought. Duran would beat him up and retire him without a rematch because Floyd would be too scared.

Yeah Floyd was hurt while both Duran and Hearns were brutally Ko'd in their careers. The fact is no one knows what would happen if those guys fougth Floyd and they never will.
