Duran took on anyone, win or lose. Floydie took the easy route, especially his last dozen or so fights. And he juiced. Good defensive fighter, but besides that, no comparison to Duran other that Floydie copied many of his moves.

That's just it, Floydie never fought a prime Mosley, Pac, etc etc, and ducked a prime Margarito, had some help in the ring vs Hatton. Juiced. The list goes on. So you make an excellent point. He didn't fight enough top level competition in their prime and without juicing and/or help from Cortez.

An inconvenient fact most Floydiots won't acknowledge.

And Duran knocked him down and beat him at near the end of his career. See, youse guyz find it so inconvenient to look at WHEN the matches took place.

If Floyd fought GGG at 160 then we would be better to gauge where Floyd is! If Floyd does well I could entertain the idea Floyd could beat a prime duran
Yep. And that was prime Hagler vs a near end-of-career Duran. And Floydie would never have considered GGG, even at a CW.

Duran would have chased it relentlessly and possibly ****** GGG's Mother just to get the fight. Duran's attitude was infinitely more exiting than PBF's.
Yep. Dad was a big fan. First time he told me about Duran he said he was a street fighter from Panama. We watched some Duran fights together, and that was very evident. Much tougher and much more interesting to watch than Floydie. Took on many top fighters in their prime, and was relentless.

Exactly. I wonder how many of these Floydiots have really studied Duran's career, and how many just automatically go on a fanboy rant.

Deflectorama there friend. Point is Pac had been KOd, and the main point being Floydie never fought Pac til he was on a decline.

Yeah Floydie never did much of that, he just juiced for a bunch of his last fights.

Chavez was like 32 ..he wasn't old when he fought De La Hoya when Oscar dominated him like one of the easiest fights of his career...but I'm supposed to believe that generation was that much better? Please...

Pac would have KO'd all of them in his prime and Floyd would have schooled all of them also...

Ever since Floyd paid homage to the legends at the WBC convention by saying he mixed a little bit of all of them into one for his style, Duran keeps saying Floyd copied his style lmao.

Classic 50/50 fight at 135. Anyway he says Floyd's opponents were 'nobody' yet he picked a lot of these guys to beat him beforehand.

Well floyd did get beat by Castillo in the first fight they had but didn't get the decision. .....I do belive duran has a tougher time with mayweather than sugar ray leonard becaue of styles, leonard has pysical attributes that more than match up to floyds..speed,power,reach,power and footwork...I don't know in a 12 round fight if duran could break floyd down .....put it this way if when duran beat leonard in Montreal it was because Ray leonard simply could not keep duran off him and he simply got swept into this toe to toe war if that's what happened then Manos de piedra would break floyd in half....but if leonard did decide to stay flat footed and brawl with duran the first fight and not move...then mayweather could have won a decision ....we will never know what what would of happened.....all I know is duran is a different beast to any fighter floyd has ever faced...go ask roger mayweather what he thinks

Duran would've came up short himself. he was in a great era,but boxing is boxing. that said floyd finds away to beat him too. sugar ray would be the only fighter that had a chance to defeat mayweather.

IMHO I think Hearns has the size, reach and strength to have beaten Mayweather. As for Duran on his best day he could take Mayweather, but Mayweather would have never stood toe to toe with him like SRL did so he might have made Duran quit out of frustration.
