  • Pascal is a real man. He fought the krusher twice even though we all knew how it would end, but applause to him. Is andre ward a real man? Or a chicken like stevenson. I know stevenson is terrified of krusher so that fight will never happen. Not even in my dreams. But the ward/kovalev match up needs to be made in 2016.

      • Every time this guy fights there's something a little better about him then before. Kovalev is one hell of a fighter and John David Jackson has been a hell of a great trainer with him.

Why have I not seen that pic? Your avatar is hilarious!

If I was a betting man, I'd favor Kovalev over Ward.

And if you read my post, it said "if he beats Ward", which I don't think he will. But if he does, where does he go? GGG sure as hell ain't gonna move up and fight him. There's no one at super middleweight that will excite the public. The cruiserweight division has always been pretty much ignored. So where does he turn for the next big fight?

And personally, I think he'd do fine at heavyweight. Maybe Ortiz is close from a skill standpoint. Who else? And I think he hits hard enough to make the big guys respect him. Can he overcome 6"+ of height that he'd be giving up to a lotta the top guys? Can he take a punch from a guy like Deontay Wilder? He may or may not become champ. But there's more than a few top 10 guys I love his chances against.
I don't see him beating Ward either, but in the event that he pulled off a win, I don't see the point of moving up. He doesn't have the size (or the power arguably) to contend with the top guys there, and he wouldn't make much extra money either. On the other hand, if he stayed at 175 and went on a legendary title fight streak, his name would be handed down through several generations.

All of this is of course dependent on him getting past Ward, so maybe we should just see how that goes first. Personally though, in the event that he gets the W, I say beat Stevenson, and then chill out at 175. He has more than enough competition to stay there at least for the time being.

Haymon and Stevenson both get paid if the fight is on HBO so what's your issue?

And keep telling yourself that Stevenson is anything but irrelevant

Well since this bout was only about the money , I didn't expect him taking too much of a beating again. Roach was kind of realistic afterwards saying: It's ok (we got a lot of money now)

                  • I actually felt bad for Pascal. He wanted that last round but all he was able to do was avoid some punishment. I'm also pretty sure Kovalev wanted to kill him in the ring.
