Canelo isnt with pbc. cotto wasn't with pbc. chavez and martinez werent with pbc. Even Ward and froch werent with pbc. The biggest names at 154-168, by far, have not been with haymon. The smaller names like quillin and jacobs, yeah they are with pbc but they certainly arent big fights.
given the fact its only happened twice in history, both being two of the biggest fights ever, and given the fact they've never once came together for any other fight, it seems to me it needs to be pretty damn significant for two rival networks to come together and work in a joint project. its damn near impossible unless there is so much money to ignore. Personally, I don't see them doing this for any fighters for a ppv expexted to do 250k-350k. I wish they would because there are a bunch of fights i'd love to see, but it doesn't seem likely. I don't know the economics but they presumabley would be splitting the profit, so if there is only a little profit in the first place it doesn't seem too benificial for them to put in all that work for not a lot of money.
In your opinion, how big does the PPV pot have to be in order for HBO/Showtime to apply the conceived business template in place?
