I don't think so since "pursuing" Jacobs probably won't get anywhere anyways. Plus it all depends on how confident they are in a Canelo fight later this year. If they believe the fight is going to happen, then they probably don't give a crap if they have to fight some weak mandatory. Better to have two belts on the negotiating table. On the other hand if they aren't confident in a Canelo fight then yeah, they can start looking elsewhere which is exactly what I think K2 is doing by going to the UK and talking about Eubanks and DeGale, it seems they are laying down a foundation for a back-up plan should the Canelo fight fall apart.

The FCUK do you mean "Put pressure on Jacobs"????

All Jacobs has EVER asked for was FAIR MONEY

Why is that so hard for this place to comprehend?

We got a thread talking about "should Team GGG put pressure on Jacobs", when I've been ****ing my head against the wall for the last month and a half asking why Team Golovkin has yet to acknowledge Team Jacobs request for fair money.

I've created about 10 threads asking why these two teams aren't at least negotiating at this point.

And here we have a thread asking Team GGG to put pressure on Jacobs?

I made a thread the other day asking "If GGG can't fight BJS, Johnson or Canelo next, who should he fight"? And TS voted for Andy Lee.

What is fair money? $3.5 million on a different network? Sure.

You made ten threads asking Why these two sides aren't negotiating and you got 10 threads of people explaining Haymon/PBC vs HBO and you still don't understand? It's the same reasons that prevent Stevenson vs Kovalev. Boxing politics. What we should be asking for is the WBA to do something about it (why don't they try and force a mandatory fight? They won't because "we respect Canelo" is their ******ed answer).

I also gave at least 5 reasons why HBO-Showtime can come together to make a fight. There's literally a business template together and made to make Showtime and HBO come together to make fights happen.

The reason Stevenson vs Kovalev didn't happen was because Duva walked away. Had nothing to do with Al Haymon/PBC.

Hell, MGM is still at the table to make the fight happen. HBO is cool with the proposal. Only one that walked was Kathy Duva. Let's blame Haymon and PBC though.

No, HBO wasn't interested in doing a joint ppv with showtime. The deal was for stevenson to fight Kovalev on HBO and HBO alone. I don't think we're going to see these networks work together unless its some insanely massive fight, such as the cases of the only two times they've ever done it (Floyd vs Pac & Tyson vs Lewis). They had to move mountains to make the Pac-Floyd fight, they aren't going to do that for PPV's that MIGHT sell 300k at best.

So why does GGG keep signing these exclusive HBO deals when half the top guys from 154-168 are with PBC? Let's be real, PBC guys are making on free tv what GGG makes on PPV.

In your opinion, how big does the PPV pot have to be in order for HBO/Showtime to apply the conceived business template in place?

Jacobs has never been enthusiastic about facing a golovkin. I don't see this fight ever happening. He simply doesn't want it...if he did, it would have already been made. K2 would drool over a fight with an opponent that would sell big in New York. Jacobs is that guy.

And if HBO's mentality is there way or the highway, then who's really at fault here for stopping fights from happening?

If you say asking for fair money = don't want GGG, ok.
