They want to give Cotto that belt against some random bum. As if Cotto fights Lara after that.

Lara isn't great but Cotto already got embarrassed by Austin Trout, Lara is just a better version of Trout.

These guys are hilarious. Cotto is half shot, he might fight some guy that is in even worse shape and coming off an injury, little Marquez fits perfectly, after that it's time to retire for the old Diva.

Does he not realize that no one at this point tells Cotto who he's gonna fight next?

But yea I can see Cotto talking the Lara fight.

they are already think that Lara would win hands down.... I guess they didn't watch the angulo fight. Lara can be hit.

It's not like Cotto even has a fight lined up, but the WBA are still trying to be the first to call ******* on the sanctioning fees when he does.
What I think they should do is just make the Cotto-Lara fight for the Unified WBA title. The WBA "Super" being vacant & Lara being the "reg" champ.

They should, but if they ordered Cotto-Lara now, it wouldn't happen because of the RN-Haymon situation. So instead they're publicly letting Cotto know he can fight anyone he chooses for their super title as long as he agrees to fight Lara afterwards, knowing that if Cotto doesn't hold up his end down the line and they strip him, at least they got one last BS sanctioning fee from a big name fighter before having to finally cut down on their number of belts.

Personally I think there is 0% chance of Cotto-Lara until Jay and Haymon settle their feud.

The Angulo fight shows Lara can hit and be hit! Great fight! Make it happen!

Cotto has a decent shot at beating Lara in my opinion. Cotto's combination punching and fleet of foot would make it hard for Lara who prefers single shots.

Just because Canelo had a tough time with Lara doesn't mean Cotto will. I'm almost sure Cotto has an easier time with Lara than Canelo did.

I think it's in Jay's interest to kill that beef! I think Jay is waiting to see what happens in court between Haymon, Arum and Oscar.
