Stay away from Lara and focus on the real Mex_PR rivalry fight which is Marquez. Lara would be fits for Cotto.

Cotto is too good for Lara to pass up, but I want to see Lara move to 160 and fight Peter Quillen or Daniel Jacobs, if Cotto is unwilling to fight him.

Diva Cotto would most likely not agree to a Lara fight, he can make that much money fighting any of several top JMWs, but holy moly would that ever be a fun one to check out.

Cotto needs to fight Marquez, or Acelino Freitas or something, because its not many people he can beat at middleweight with those short ass arms. Fight Garcia at a catchweight.

Terrible fight for cotto one he will likely lose and not make a lot of money doing it. Cotto will avoid this fight. Marquez is a better match up but if he can't get him to agree he will fight a lesser known belt holder who is not as big a risk.

The Charlo brothers knocks him out and Lara wins on points.

Especially as they put out the Uchiyama-Fortuna info on the same day as this. "Hey guys, no more super champs, so you two have to fight. BTW we're creating a new super champ in Cotto lolthxbye".

It's not like Cotto even has a fight lined up, but the WBA are still trying to be the first to call ******* on the sanctioning fees when he does.

lara is a bad style for cotto, if there's anything we can take away from the trout fight. cotto would be giving up a lot of reach to lara. about 6-7 inches, if you can believe that. he's also slower. i think he tries to box with lara, loses clearly on points, leaves the ring, and claims he won the fight.

he hasn't shown the ability to walk forward consistently and beat up a world class figher since the judah fight. if he can come forward behind the jab and get to the body, like he did to stop quintana's movement, he'll have a shot. angulo did it, and cotto's a much better fighter than he is. i just don't know if cotto is willing to take that kind of risk any more, or if he'd even be able to catch up with lara if he was. 6-7 inches of reach makes it a long night to have to come forward.

haven't even considered this one, but that's an intriguing fight. really like it. unfortunately it would have to be on PPV.

Would be hard to decide who to root for in this one -- can't figure out which guy I hate more: an annoying diva or a track star who is in consistently boring fights. They deserve each other. Here's hoping for a double KO.
