So whats GGG's deal. Says he will go to 154 for floyd and making that weight is no problem. Says the same thing about 168 then refuses the ward fight at 168. Now it seems like he is very persistent about fighting canelo at 160 and not 155. SO WTF IS YOUR DEAL GGG, FIGHT HIM AT 155 , PUT UP OR SHUT UP ALREADY.

Boxing is a business, yes he would've made the effort to drop to 154 for Floyd because that's the money fight right there. Highest pay of his career. As for Ward, he would've fought Froch at 168 because Froch can draw HUGE and the fight would've drawn a massive crowd. Froch vs Groves II drew over 80,000 at Wembley Stadium. Ward can't even sell out in his own hometown of Oakland. Why make the risk for that little reward?

I don't really care about the belt I'm more concerned with the name attached to the belt. belts have become less meaningful by the day. In a perfect world I'd like all fighters to respect the weight classes but it isn't that way so why should I care.

I'm a GGg fan and a Canelo hater. But GGG team said anyone can get it 154-168. His team did their best to avoid Ward like the plague cool, even though why the recent talk about Degeale ? They wanted Mayweather at 154 a small WW on his way out. They said 154 is no problem.

Canelo is the biggest name and $ available to GGG they should do what Evers needed to make the fight if that means 155 so be it , because if no Canelo I don't really see any other decent options for GGG.

The canelo fight is also a big money fight. So why doesnt GGG's team just accept the catchweight of 155. They said they can make that weight but refuse to fight at it. Im not saying GGG is ducking but you can see why lots of ppl think he is. Why say who will fight anyone from 154 to 168 if you obviously dont want to.

Technically, Canelo got a stripped/vacated title himself. Once they stripped Cotto, the title should have gone to GGG anyways.

I bookmarked this thread so I can bump it when GGG accepts the terms that Canelo and Goldne Boy give him, including the weight.

They didn't say they would fight him at 155, they said not for the unification of THREE MIDDLE WEIGHT TITLES.

Why should Canelo get to unify the MW division at 1 pound above JRMW.

Bottom line, the WBC ain't stripping Canelo no matter who he does or doesn't fight. If they want this fight, team g string better get ready to make some concessions.
