  • Exciting times for boxing in the US! If PBC can get a deal with FOX, it would have done what the entire industry failed to do for decades... grow the market.

Hopefully they can still get CBS, Spike, & ESPN dates as well!

Well this year they are still going tio have all those dates. I believe Spike returns in April and ESPN in the summer. They are trying to manage the dates better to avoid conflicting with big sports. At least thats what im reading but its twitter so take it how you will.

They probably going for mainly premium time slots and dates which would be smart to bring the viewership numbers up. Big things in store for PBC and US boxing in 2017-2018.

              • I think going in they expected to incur losses in the short run because their goal all alone was to saturate the airwaves with boxing matches in order to get the viewing public interested in the sport again.

That's why they were purchasing their own air time and time slots to reintroduce the public to network boxing until they could attract a larger enough audience in order to sell advertisements.

However, I expect all of that to change soon, They have been on the air for less than year now and the advertisers are lining up to do business with them. Therefore, in the long run they should recover their losses.
