I would really like to see the momentum keep building. I miss the days when you could go to work on a Monday, and everyone was talking about the weekend fights.
I don't see that anymore. It would be so nice to get that buzz back.

PBC's been doing a lot of good lately. I love it when I get to watch the fights at work. Getting paid to watch boxing! What a treat!

The money is getting tight Jacobs vs Quillin first being announced and Thurman vs Porter announced as PBC fights around the same time. Neither will air on PBC because the losses are mounting. Each Show on NBC prime time since the debut dropped in ratings. And now the FOX debut is starting at much lower then NBC started but that's a good sign? Idiots comparing what UFC at it's lower water mark is doing on FOX (which is still higher then PBC) to what PBC just debuted at. You only need 2 brain cells to ask the most important question. Why aren't Haymon fan boys comparing PBC Debut on FOX to UFC Debut on FOX? Isn't that a apples to apples comparison? The reason they are not is because UFC debuted with 5.7mil overnight ratings and PBC just did 2.2mil. UFC got the FOX deal because they generated years of great ratings on SpikeTV. PBC aired on SpikeTV in 2015 and are avg like 400-500k viewers for year 1. UFC avg 1.7mil ratings on SpikeTV to warrant that FOX deal.
Why is SpikeTV going to buy PBC when they get better ratings by running old Cops episodes during the same time slot then PBC? Why is Fox going to pay PBC like they did UFC when they are getting far less ratings on SpikeTV and far less then what UFC debuted on FOX? UFC just aired a card on the smaller sister station FS1 and it got a higher rating then the PBC overnight ratings on FOX. And I haven't even brought up the biggest problem the money it costs to much money to produce these PBC cards compared to UFC. The fighters make way less compared to boxers and the gap is ridiculious when you look at how much PBC is overpaying their fighters. Networks can air other content at a fraction of the cost and get similar/and better tv ratings then PBC. 1 main event fighter on PBC makes more then all the fighters on a UFC card. And UFC preliminary/undercard fights with UFC's C and D class fighters is pulling better ratings then a PBC card with their A class fighters at like 1/10 the cost.
Every network that airs PBC saw their ratings drop from the first half the year compared to second half. EVERY ONE and now FOX is starting off 33% lower then NBC started with. FOX aired a ton of free ads during NFL playoff football in prime spots for games that pulled like a 40mil tv ratings leading up to this fight. If PBC is building and a bigger brand then it was last year why is the debut on a new network lower?Last edited by bigdunny1; 01-29-2016, 11:02 AM.

This may seem like a good thing for boxing but it isn't. This is because Al Haymon makes fighters avoid good fights. Like Danny Jacobs, Adonis Stevenson, Spence, Beterbiev, Deontay Wilder. The more power he gets, the worse it will be for fans who want good fights. Garcia vs Guerrero was wack, Garcia wasn't really winning but Guerrero was trying but not really winning either. We want Jacobs-GGG, Stevenson-Beterbiev, Wilder-Povetkin, Thurman-Garcia, Beterbiev-Kovalev. These fights won't happen if PBC is successful. They want to promote mismatches and overpay the fighters for them. AND BTW I hate the bias from commentators on PBC, it's like they don't even mention the underdog's punches in the fight.
