Los Angeles - Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) brought championship boxing back to FOX in prime timeSaturday night after an almost 20-year absence and delivered a resounding ratings knockout. The PBC on FOX, headlined by an intense 12-round battle for the vacant welterweight title between victor Danny Garcia and Robert Guerrero, delivered PBC's best audience since April 2015.

DSGarcia is the face of PBC and a household name of boxing. His ratings will be that high as long as he fights other names. He can't fight the Salka's from here on out, fans won't watch.

Now was this cause it wasnt going up against any major sporting event? or is it cause the fight was perceived as a real fight finally? or did haymon plan work by having these dude fight twice on network tv building their brand and then facing them together?

all I want to know is what happens when they cant buy time slots anymore, and have to shop their content? I know pbc is good for this wave of fighters but what about the next? most likely are gonna take pennies on the dollar. time will tell

but wtf does this mean "An estimated 6.2 million viewers watched all or part of Saturday night's fight card" lol did they watch all or not? and what is the definition of part? channel surfers?

sad to say that danny will be on ppv..i dont like paying lol..but he has earned it he has fought the best. he entertains, and he has proven he can draw...
he can fight broner, khan 2, peterson...all those fights can happen before he has to face an actual top Welterweight..that is the position PBC has put him in..their fighters have many more options and it is just joyful for them and the fnas

Man this is what you called damage control. Trying to put a spin on something that did not draw well. FOX finished dead last in ratings to their competitors NBC, CBS, ABC. PBC debut on FOX was 33% down from their debut on NBC which did 3.4mil ratings. NBC saw every show drop in viewers from that point on. UFC on FS1 the smaller sister station to FOX just did 2.28mil rating the weekend before that aired after prime time from 10-1am

I agree, even though Guerrero is at the backside of his prime he is fairly known among casual fans. I believe Errol Spence Jr. can also be a big draw once he's put in with some decent names. Hopefully, Garcia can get a fight with the winner of Porter/Thurman. I want PBC to succeed because it is a great stage to showcase the upcoming generation of boxers.
