That definitely helps but I don't think he's a huge puerto rican star as an American from Philly. Maybe I'm wrong but I never got the impression he was beloved by Puerto Ricans. Maybe he's just really liked in Philly and the East Coast in general. Would be interesting to see a breakdown of the numbers.

Garcia has a good amount of fans up and down the east coast. His handlers have also done a nice job maneuvering him toward stardom. He's done #'s at the Barclays Center. Was featured on the Mayweather-Alvarez card in Vegas. Khan in Vegas. And just did pretty nice #'s both in and out of the arena as the A-side. In California.

Helps that he is damn good fighter, even if you think his record should have an L. Is he good enough to become a superstar? We'll see.

Some people are befuddled as to how Garcia is a star but it's plain and simple.. no reason to hate his character. Yeah he has a powerful team and a crazy dad, but he's a good character which means something more in the social media world nowadays.

UFC's average in prime time on Fox (17 cards thus far) has been 3.04 millions viewers. Since UFC 11 on Fox the average has only been 2.71 million.
