I don't understand Steve Kim saying Loeffler should call Lara's bluff.

How can he do that when the IBF have ordered him to start negotiating with Wade?

Here's an idea-drop the IBF belt if necessary so you can take on the best opponent available for the fans, whether it be Lara or a 168lber rather than force fans to have to watch Wade.

There are very good reason's why GGG is not going to move up to 168 right now, which you shouldn't need explaining to you.

And if you think anybody in his right mind would vacate a world title to try and make a fight with Erislandy Lara, you are crazy!

I like Lara but forget asking to fight you, force him to! Jump into the 160 Division, knock off one of these other contenders and put yourself in position to be his mandatory and force him to fight you. That is always the best way to do it IMO.

That being said I also question GGG side, why won't they shut him up and call his "Bluff" if they think he is "Bluffing" with that being said if he beats Lara his critics will say "He fought a Smaller guy" so wouldn't it be best and make for a bigger match up if Lara at least got 1 or 2 Quality wins or even a Championship at 160 before making this fight. That would eliminate any excuses on all sides!

Lara has had three title defenses since losing to Canelo. All three of his challengers were unranked garbage. Lara continues to be a cherry picking champion while calling out the best middleweight in the world. Jacobs has the same manager as Lara so why doesn't he call Jacobs out?????? If Lara beat Jacobs he would have a middleweight belt and GGG would have a logical reason to fight Lara. As of now GGG has no reason to waste his time knocking out Lara. GGG haters would just say he was picking on a smaller man. GGG is trying to fight Wade now. Wade is his top rated mandatory challenger. Wade is a 25 year old undefeated boxer with a 75% KO ratio. He is rated 10th in the world or much higher by everybody. He is a worthy challenger and it's a good fight for GGG. To say otherwise is just hateful nonsense.

Not sure about the "worthy challenger" status but otherwise good points re Lara.

The main barrier to Golovkin fighting Lara might actually be HBO.

I don't think that they would see Lara as being the type of fighter to provide the sort of challenge they would put money behind.
