Wasn't aware that it was a rule stating that GGG couldn't move up in Apr, then come back to middleweight and fight Canelo in Sept. Thanx fot clearing that up for me.
are you really that dumb? have you ever competed in anything athletically?
You're suggesting a 33-34yr old boxer to jump up 8lb then come back in 4 months time at his regular fighting weight. 160 to 168lb is the biggest weight jump in the game if you let other professional boxers tell it.
Not that I'm agreeing with the whole a-side ****boy nonsense, but I don't see why Degale vs GGG could'nt be made. From a couple interviews I've seen with Hearn, at the very least Degale can do what he wants on that side of the pond. Not to mention it is a great fight.
I'm all for that fight. But the fact that it would literally take time to make it happen since the haymon/hbo fued and also negotiating where and how much they would get would play a big role. Heres a video where some drunk guy is calling out degale to fight GGG and he just dismisses it and says he's too small. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4brkSlTzdII But i doubt that fight happens. This fight would need more than just 3 months to negotiate for and patching things up
If he handled Groves easily just imagine what he'd do to DeGale, omg wow!
168lbs could indeed be very, very, very easy work for GGG now that Ward has ran away up to 175lbs to avoid the beast from the East.
Moving up to face a bigger and stronger fighter is now considered running away........unusual logic.
Gennady Golovkin believes George Groves remains capable of winning a world title - as long as he can rediscover the aggression and power he used to show.
The super-middleweight on Saturday begins rebuilding his career against Andrea Di Luisa at London's Copper Box Arena in his first outing since his third unsuccessful world-title fight, against Badou Jack in September.
It's alllllllllll about power and aggression huh ?
Groves lost his confidence after the 2nd Froch fight, his power and aggression did not suddenly disappear.
What happens, when Golovkin's power and aggression (the 2 most over-rated traits within boxing) are rendered ineffective by a mover/spoiler who can keep him honest?
Why won't he fight a mover/spoiler who can keep him honest?
Does he even have a plan B ?
You used to hear exactly the same thing from Team Pacquiao, and yet lack of power/aggression is not why Pacquiao lost to Marquez and Mayweather.
Everything I see and hear suggests the same thing to me.
He did say that it was groves first week of sparring (maybe even training) and was too big and too slow so that might of had something to do with it. Also abel also said that kovalev was barely coming up when they sparred which is why he's impressed with how jdj has improved kovalev. Lastly why move up when he has a shot at canelo and getting the exposure he deserves?
GGG-canelo is up there with kovalev-stevenson as a great fight thats good for the sport. The fact you think it isnt important shows how ******ed you are. GGG is easily bigger than degale and lara. If you wanna use that A-side bull**** GGG doesnt have to fight them. You danm wanker. What has lara done anyway? A draw against williams? A gift draw against molina even though he clearly got schooled? or his win over trout after being beaten by canelo? Sit your b1tchass down and let the adults talk about the sport you clearly dont care about
Actually, the official verdict in the Lara-Williams fight was a decision for Williams. But, if you think Williams won, or even the fight was a draw, you're the one that doesn't know **** about boxing. Because that was easily one of the biggest robberies ever.
As for not caring about Canelo-GGG. I think I clearly said it was a good fight. But its pretty much irrelevant when it comes to middleweight supremacy. GGG is about as clear a #1 in a division as we have in boxing right now. And Canelo has never beaten a legitimate. So while I like the fight. The whole "unification" bull**** is irrelevant to me. Because GGG doesn't need Canelo or anyone else's belt to prove divisional dominance.
I'm strictly a fight fan. I watch most fights without a rooting interest. I just wanna see good fights. GGG fighting a guy that's been KO'd by Andy Lee and has only been in three scheduled 10rd+ fights isn't a good fight. There are better available fighters for GGG to try and make fights with. If he can't, cool. But to not even try because he knows f.uck boys like yourself sit and have circle jerk sessions watching him beat up tomato cans is bull****. And fanboy b1tches like you is why quality match-ups are getting fewer and fewer nowadays.
