Floyd played this role his entire career, did things to intentionally piss people off his whole career, reaped all the benefits of people wanting to see him lose and made hundreds of millions in the process. HE NEVER WANTED TO BE LIKED bc it benefitted him. Now that he's done with all of that, he wants to be loved.

Yet for some reason his fans are confused and need reasons why people don't like him.

(btw I was a Floyd fan for a while. Then I turned like 18 and he became too childish for me)

His fans mainly consist of insecure pro black guys who live vicariously through him, so they think you are hating on black people if you hate on floyd. Its weird.

Watch this guys videos he is one of the paranoid pro black conspiracy theory floyd fans he cries racism yet is racist in the video lol

The moment that reality gets pointed out, the person making the initial critique instantly goes defensive, and any conversation ceases. And the cycle continues.

Even if you want to try and argue that, by Floyd's 4th fight as a pro he was wanting to be a villain, you're still talking about a 19-year old American Olympic bronze medalist who had yet to pick up any demerits on his name yet. Outside of in pro wrestling, a person can't just become a villain because they say they want to be a villain.

Oscar De La Hoya, The Golden Boy, can only champion 2 of his five children, have an extensive drug and alcohol problem, dress in drag with hookers, **** a 15-year old girl, and then relapse onto drugs on the eve of the biggest event in the history of his company, yet he's not an actual villain? gtfoh
I don't get why some people seem to think it's impossible to dislike someone for things other than race. I simply don't like him. I was prompted to write this when another thread highlighted Rousey, McGregor and Manzel. The fact is I don't like Rousey and I HATE Manzel. I don't really know McGregor until recently. It's a personality that I and I'm sure tons of other people don't like, which I feel is evidenced by people hating Floyd. It's the same reason I hate all of them.

In that fight Im referring to, he doesn't just simply state "I'm a villain," he was already bragging and talking sh.it and people noticed it and he was asked what prompted it. He then said he wanted to be seen as the villain. He provided actions with words.

As far as being a bronze medalist, idgaf. He chose how to get his name out there, and he chose the path that people wouldn't like. I've always liked Ward and it has nothing to do with his gold medal. I just took a liking to him bc he was a good fighter and a humble guy. I'll forever like Ward for something he said during the Super 6, he said "I was raised not to pat myself on the back or call myself great, we let others do that." Basically the opposite of Mayweathers thinking.

As far as ODLH, I never said other people shouldn't be disliked for whatever reasons. If someone dislikes ODLH for those reasons, that is legitimate to me. That's my whole point, that for whatever reason you don't like a guy, you just don't.

Fool. The Only people who have time to care about whether or not De La Hoya is a hero or a villain are women or gays.

Ive seen Conor McGregor fans call him a "God" and a "King" with his 19-2 record which is not even that impressive in the MMA world. But Floyd is supposedly the father figure lol?

It honestly sounds like Floyd makes you angry and you want to lash out on his fans. The irony of the thread is that in asking why his fans defend him, you show that you care how his fans feel.

It's all "whatevs" to me. I don't mind if people like him or not. I'm pretty neutral about him myself.

Floyd is a POS. Who cares what fans who root for a POS think?
