But those 2 losses were to Thurman and Mayweather; two of the best in the division. I thought he got a gift against Martinez too but he just proved against Devon Alexander that he can fight and shouldn't be overlooked.

I don't like the fight but to say it proves absolutely nothing is a stretch. Peterson had tremendous success in the pocket against Garcia in the later rounds and that's where Guerrero likes to do most of his work since he moved up in weight.

And besides, you've rarely seen Guerrero in a boring fight with the exception of Mayweather. Garcia will step up and face better welterweights later this year but as of right now, he's got a tough, desperate contender in front of him who always comes to fight. This will be a fun fight to watch.

Yeah I'm done sleeping on Martinez. Really looking forward to the Vasquez fight. Biggest reason I'm tuning in. Anyways my point was just that Guerrero at this point is just a name. And sure it could show us something as far as Danny goes, but I don't see it being anything positive. Unless he just blasts Robert out of there in like 3 rounds, there is nothing Danny can do to look impressive. On the flip side. Lets say Robert has that one last great fight in him and gives Danny hell. Anyone here actually think Robert will get the nod on the cards?

It doesn't prove much, but you should realize that that wasn't the purpose of this fight.

It's simply there to get Danny more accustomed to the WW division. After this fight, he'll take on good challengers and champions. Believe me.

And keep banking on that upset, it will never happen.

Danny took his hard fights years ago. He's done with those until its time to cash out. Easy money against undersized and/or shot fighters for several years is about all you can expect. Listen to his dad. Look at who he fights. They don't even try to hide it. He is very limited, can't beat skilled boxers, and has gotten a few nice gifts over the years. Now its little or shot guys who will walk in a straight line into hooks.

This fight is a glorified showcase bout. Only difference is that Ghost has a name.

It proves NOTHING as usual. The Mexican fighter is ALWAYS either too new aka "Vargas'd" or too old aka "Morales'd"
