Nobody is...the only guy that does decent ratings for haymon anymore is Broner.

Haymon is awesome at making money off of something, using it, and then turning it into ****.

Golden Boy, Showtime Boxing, and now apparently Waddell & Reed.

Wilder should have been positioned to fill the void Floyd left. You should have paired him with Thurman and Santa Cruz. They really should have had a plan in place.
Hey thats his company and his plan. I said before fight i was gonna watch football and left to watch it. Recorded fight and watched late. It was good. I enjoyed it. Great day of sports!

The same answer can be applied to the disdain for the PBC product. It could be run by Donald Trump and people still will call it out on being a bad product. The ethnicity of the person running PBC has nothing to do with the polished turd of PBC.

And this is a Showtime card we're talking about, not a PBC card.

I just mean overall. I get your point, but this is one of the things I think Haymon and his associates should've done that would've positively impacted what he is trying to do.

No it can't. The disdain for the PBC product for some, not all, is clearly related to Haymon's skin color. I think we've seen enough here from guys like Barcham and others that make this point irrefutable.

As for tuning in, I don't see how you misunderstood what BWC posted. He never posted that. I do not think people tune in to a SHowtime or PBC card because of Haymon's skin color.

Except it isn't a bad product, it's ingenious, and it's still very early to determine true success.

You really have no leg to stand on here.

If you criticize the ratings and views, you are ignoring context or don't understand the business.

If you criticize the match making, you don't understand how boxing works as a business, and you are ungrateful as a fan because a true boxing fan is going to tune in and watch fights because any fight is better than no fight whether the odds or even or not.

If you criticize Haymon, then you have a personal agenda because say what you will about Haymon/GBP/TR etc, they are trying to do what they feel is best for the sport whether you like the results or not.

Maybe they should have put the fight on Friday night

Relatively speaking, PBC is a very good product. They could use a few tweaks like better walkouts and things like that, but 3 of the FOTY candidates in 2015 were PBC fights. It's certainly no worse than HBO or Showtime outside PPV. (And GGG-Lemieux on PPV?? Come on..)
