Showtime has fallen off a cliff.

      DeGale-Bute averaged 269K.
      Jacobs-Quillin averaged 386K.
      Wilder-Szpilka averaged 500K.

These shows should be doing 1M minimum. It doesn't look like Mayweather or PBC has benefitted Showtime in the long term at all.

Terrible Ratings. Last year Wilder drew 1.24mil viewers on Showtime against Steverne. But that was with Golden Boy promoting it and before PBC. I've said it all year PBC has all but destroyed the credibility of Showtime. Across the boards all their boxing fights since PBC are down about 50% or more. And it has not boosted any of the fighters who fought on PBC. Example Thurman drew big ratings the very first PBC show. So you would think it increased his popularity right? NOPE. His next fight in his hometown he fought in a empty arena drawing only 4k fans and it got terrible TV ratings. Jacobs and Quillin drew horrible ratings when they came back to Showtime from PBC. The negative impact that PBC has gotten has certainly rubbed off on Showtime.

These fighters would of been much better off staying on Showtime and building their fanbase.

I was switching back and forth between Pack-Cards and SHO.

It was a free SHO weekend as well.

Yep, thats why HBO cut Haymon out. They learned there lesson.

Haymon was a 1 trick pony and that pony retired.

Now he's stuck with an abundance of black fighters who no one cares about. And ones people do care about he has no ability to make them stars.

football is king in america. king. it's impossible to compete with football.

they're idiots for trying to go up against a playoff game with a fighter that needs to be built up.

people might also be getting wise to how f#cking annoying deontay wilder is. BOMB SQUAD doe.

Not going to sit here and act like Wilder is a huge draw, or if SHO/PBC business model is Tit's McGee or an abject failure. I frankly don't care.

It was up against a NFL Playoff game.

Which drew over 33 million viewers.

Any sporting event here in the States takes hind tit to the NFL.

                  Just how it is.

I thought about switching over for the fight, but that game got WAY too good to switch from. And it ended just in time for the KO and Fury jumping in the ring, so it was perfect.

Saturday was a great night. ****ing Larry Fitzgerald, what a legend.

Football or not Showtime ratings have tanked. They had so little fights last year and now they need to rebuild all the momentum they were gaining with the Mayweather contract.
