Just because Wilder knocked him out cold with a perfect punch doesn't mean he's wrong in saying he was expecting Wilder to hit harder.

He took a lot of flush shots from Wilder before that perfect punch and held up well.
Yeah exactly. It's not hard to understand what he's saying.

Odd coming from a man that got KOed with one punch and took like 5 minutes to recover.

The ref was counting over him and had to wave it off because he looked like he was dead.

If Wilder didn't hit that hard Szpilka would had come in more. The minute he got reckless he got KOed. Wilder needs to improve in a lot of areas but that right hand is legit

          So what were you expecting?!

For your head to go flying off into the crowd or what?!

I mean really! I guess Spilka is trying not to embarass himself but the best way to do that here would be to shut it.

SZP fought well till the implosion landed on the SZP chin

SZP is entitled to his opinion as the Pole fought well and bravely for 9 rounds like a real man. But Wilder land a shot on SZP that detonated and exploded the SZP into a lifeless heap out cold. Wilder has big time power but also has room to improve. Maybe the SZP will with the video and the impact?

If you watch clips of the fight Wilder had really good form on his shots and...when he was hit Spilka's head went wildly from side to side. Wilder's shots were strong, in much the same way Tyson when fighting Ruddock could not KO him but was knocking him down.

What Wilder's punches did was shut down Spilka, who really could not hit Wilder with anything to speak of...most of Spilka's punches were glancing blows. Wilder also kept working on Spilka's punch resistance, which was gone by the time he was hit with that punch.

you can see in the fight that Wilder was able to really put his body into the shots and Spilka's head really was jarred...yes he was anticipating these shots well enough that he held up, but remember: he was supposed to counter the right hand and he could not do this at all!

In reality Wilder comfortably won this fight on points if it went that way, hit Spilka pretty much at will, and the first time Spilka tried to mix it up...well the rest is history.

But Spilka was a weak non threatening opponent. And Deontay backed off of him way too much. Spilka never had the goods to threaten Wilder which is why this fight happened.

I am frankly suprised that people fell for the hype that Spilka held up well and that the fight was close.

                Lol.

Dillian Whyte said the same thing after getting KTFO vs Joshua.

These guys are getting punched so hard they are getting amnesia.

To be fair, at least he's mostly lucid. When Rahman KO'd Lewis, Lewis didn't even realize he'd been KO'd afterwards. That's bad.

This is why you always take what a fighter says about another fighter's power with a pinch of salt. How many fighters claimed that Earnie Shavers was the hardest puncher they'd ever fought? How many said the same about Tyson or Tua? Fighters who get knocked out cold simply do not recall enough of the shot to be reliable witnesses.

Ask Szpilka who the hardest puncher he ever fought was and he'd probably mention someone like Jennings or Mike Mollo. Guys whose punches he can remember taking.

If you get knocked unconscious for 5 or so minutes, you shouldn't be allowed to say that the man who knocked you out doesn't hit hard.

I'd understand if he got caught and was discombobulated for a minute or so, but he was asleep with his eyes open. That **** was scary.
