And this is the guy y'all said would be exciting and save boxing. His last fight was boring. And it seems the Mexicans that y'all claim are the ones who buy most of the ppvs support Floyd more than Canelo.
Let Canelo fight at 155lbs against GGG who can be 160
So long as GGG enters the ring under 160lbs for the middleweight title showdown with Canelo what is the difference? Let Canelo fight at his 155lbs desired weight but the Middleweight Championship belt is for 160lbs. No gimmicks no games no bargains just two men fighting for the 160lb belt. Canelo can give up his belt then if Canelo wants to play kids games with catch weights. Fluck games and catch weights as Boxing is for men and 160lbs means 160lbs.
GGG should just try to fight Jacobs then move up to 168. Or if that fight can't be made, move up to 168 because there's nothing for him at 160. Dropping five pounds at his age is not a smart move.
What fights are there for Golovkin at 168? If GGG can't land fights with Quillin, Jacobs, or Lara due to politics, then he won't be able to get fights with DeGale or Jack either. He can always do a one off fight with Rameriz, but that's hardly enough reason to completely abandon 160lbs. Ward has already stated that he will not go back down to 168lbs for Golovkin (he knows what effect it had on Chad Dawson).
If GGG/HBO are able to land fights with Haymon clients, then 3-4 fights with any of the following; Derevyanchenko, Khytrov, Eubank, Jacobs/Quillin (their going to have a rematch per Espinoza), Lara, J-Rock, and Charlo's would all more than make up not fighting Alvarez.
It's always entertaining to read these Golovkin fanboy meltdowns.
It's always interesting to ascertain the motives of Golovkin haters.
On a related note I don't think they are smart enough to realize that it actually makes more and more neutrals like myself start to defend Golovkin which I assume is not their intention.
Also there is a direct correlation between morons and the tag. They seem to be laughing out loud a lot. I presume this is because ignorance is bliss.
