No, GGG wants to make his name off of the smaller Floyd, just like Floyd did a against jmm and PAC.
Floyd should let the next superstar have him on his resume. Just like Hernandez gavefloyd the chance and dlh and SSM also did!

When gggg has cleaned up he will fight ward.

Whats the point of all the GGG threads you make? You're not changing anyones opinion, just going in circles at this point. The ones that hate GGG will continue to hate, the ones that like him will continue to like him.

Call me whatever you want but name a fighter who beat his level of comp or less who was rated p4p

Name one....if you can't STFU and get out of your feelings

And for the record I didn't say it didn't matter I said I can use my own opinion n facts to determine who are the best and resume and high level of comp are weighed heavily by me

I was a huge Roy Jones fan...my fav of all time IMO he was better, but dariusz michaelcewski was the champ at 175...Jones beat better comp but DM beat who he had to , to get all the belts before being stripped

Middlweight has lineage that started with bhop then Taylor then pavlik then Martinez then cotton now canelo
Its the ultimate flaw with a championship system. The contender can be the proven best in the division. Which is more applicable to p4p consideration. Lineage can be best left with historians and academics to pointless argue semantics, but it really doesn't reflect anything on the fighter necessarily.

If you want to look at the sport through lineage only, thats fine. It doesn't change the consensus that Golovkin is the best middleweight in the world; p4p should surely be reflecting that more than a 'championship' - one of the big ideas behind p4p in the first place!

IMO GGG will be the best when he beats canelo....same canelo if he beat GGG.... But canelo is the champ, he earned it ...no one can take that away from him

Its a bit of a unanswerable question because any names will be subjective as to whether they were better or worse than ggg s competition.

Also some become top 10 p4p on the basis of one win over a great opponent. I mean pavlik was p4p weren't he? The question should be has any middleweight been as dominant as GGG been, not letting them see 12 rounds?

who cares? pound for pound lists are just someone's opinion. make your own pound for pound list and leave GGG off of it. you can post the list in this thread or even start a new thread called "my top 10 p4p that doesn't include GGG, he's not on the list but i'm obsessed with him so i'll mention him".

Pavlik wasn't top 5 n some people didnt have him there @ all

GGG is on all of the major ones unlike pavlik

Stop deflecting...its a simple yes or no question

If Hopkins, Jones, Nunn, monzon, hagler fought his level of comp til the end of their careers they'd have had the same results

You have to consider strength of schedule....his best opponent was lemiuex n Murray

Jones won titles at 160 n 168 and wasn't rated that high til beating James toney who is a high calibre, hall of fame guy...was 40 something n O with a win over ATG McCallum.......before that be beating toney he beat champs Jorge Castro, Jorge vaca, Bernard Hopkins
