agreed....boxings pool of talent is deeper than they give it credit for at times

There's so much talking about who should be P4P #1, 2, 3, 4, ..., 100, who's A-Side, B-Side, X-Side, all those absurd rankings are for nothing, fans should demand the best fights and not troll each other with all that bs.
why post in a thread you don't like....just sayin...

Please show me where I said I didn't like him??? I never said that, I like him as fighter I just think his resume doesn't warrant all the hype and hoopla going on with his die hard fans and some of the media. He hasn't done a lot while other fighters who have comparable skills and better resumes don't get half the shine.

I give credit where its due and criticism as well. People need to get out of their feelings. This is a boxing forum where you are supposed to voice your opinon not a place to meet and agree on everything or insult someone who doesn't agree with you

GGG has benefitted greatly from the HBO hype machine and HBO's partnership with ESPN. HIs resume IMO is not p4p worthy even though skillwise I believe he is just a notch below the elite-Floyd, ward, rigo, JMM and power wise he is elite.

The reality is such that there is not a clear set of top fighters. I would rank GGG in my top 5, but that's probably because I can't really find 5 fighters that clearly deserve to be above him.

as simple as it sounds BB....you make a lot of sense....its all opinion based....He is in my top 20...I weigh resume and depth of competition a little more than the eye test....He is definitely a very good fighter

I don't get it, how come GGG became so popular during the last few months. The guy is with all the respect is nobody to be considered as a star. I even see people compare him to Floyd. Really?
I think he is just a hype.

People take gggs amateur career as well as evidence of how good he is its the whole package. If you was an amateur star and have great form as a pro you are basically a sure bet. Whereas if you have no amateur pedigree but do well as a pro you may be thought of as a flash in the pan and can be exposed any moment.
When PAC was beating barera, morales and jmm it bwas clear to everyone PAC had fought higher calibre opponents but Floyd was considered no1 by ring magazine.?
