He has t fought since he kod pac some three four years ago if I remember correctly.
Marquez is too small for cotto and has been out of the ring too long. They should not fight it would be unfair for Marquez.

exactly, since the margarito loss, cottos biggest wins have been against injured, shot, or C level fighters.

        injured: foramen, margarito, martinez

        C level: jennings, delvin,

        shot: mayorga, geale.

and cotto actually lost to clottey.

but cotto is still da best doe according to the ricans. lol

what do you call a gay mexican? a puto rican

        hahahahaha

LMAO, this isn't a good fight, it's funny how these guys dig themselves, Marquez has been 1 and half year inactive, by the time they fight if they ever to do that thing he will be 2 years inactive.

Cotto KO'ed a 180lbs Geale and you want him to fight a 43 year old. 135 natural pounder, with 2 years inactivity and a bad knee? GTFO!

Oh but wait you slammed Canelo for taking on a 170 Kirkland with a year and a half inactivity, with or without Wolfe you sound dellusional.

So it's good for Cotto but not for Canelo, double standards, hipocresy and contradictions Get the hell out! I just proved what kind of fan you are

I'm not feelin' Nacho right now either! What your take:

            January 9, 2016:

"To me it seems good, but I don't know what Juan would say. I think it would be a great fight due to their styles. And I think Juan has a good chance of winning. Juan is smarter. Cotto has a nice style but he is not very smart in deciphering a fight, because [against Canelo] I thought that with a little more determination he could have stamped a unanimous [decision] in his favor but lacked the determination to get the decision," said Beristain to ESPN Deportes.

"I've always liked [the idea of] Marquez fighting Cotto, because of the technique of the two. Cotto is a great fighter and Juan one of a kind. It would have been a great fight, but now it all depends on Juan.

Nacho Beristain, trainer for former four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez, likes the idea of a showdown between his fighter and another former four division champion, Miguel Cotto.

If Cotto could still make 147 it would be a great fight and yeah of course these two names would require a PPV.

I'll watch it. If Marquez could beat him, that'd elevate him a lot.

Cotto would beat the hell out of marquez..

I got no interest in this fight...

                      Would much rather have-

                      Cotto-Maidana
                      Or
                      Marquez-Maidana

Either way, as long as one fights Maidana
