Yes, there must be some big difference between Crawford and GGG. Hmmmm, I wonder what on earth it could possibly be??

Yeah we do but I don't think BJS ever really thought K2 would offer $3.2 million. He's got to be at least considering it. All those domestic fights are still there for BJS if he loses to a top-10 P4P fighter and the #1 Middleweight in the world (especially this early in his career). No one is going to think less of him.

Plus if Golovkin ultimately beats Canelo and unifies, he probably moves up (unless he wins a close one and maybe there's a Canelo rematch) but once that's over, he will have little left to prove and will move up, meaning all 4 belts will open up and BJS can surely snatch up one of them. So if Warren/BJS want to milk a title fighting the lowest ranked guys the WBO will allow for a couple of years, that opportunity will likely be available in the near future anyways.

I hope they can make it happen, I want to see the MW division unified again. There is seemingly enough money for this to happen, but it's just a question of whether Saunders has the bravado to immediately lay the title on the line after winning it.

I think he should, I'd be more of a fan if he took the fight and lost than if he did the typical business-as-usual approach that makes fans wait through a couple lackluster fights for over a year.

You are probably one of those dip shot right winger who scream commie, but lack fundamental understanding of what communism truly is. Nevermind the fact your geopolitical knowledge is oviously next to zero.

I bet you rail against government, while collecting government checks. You probably vote for **********s and blame ***** when your monthly check is cut or late.

Then the Canelo fight in Texas. I say this because Saunders is not interesting for Golovkin but Jacobs is. However, Jacobs is a bullsht titleholder who has a regular version of GGG's WBA belt. So if Golovkin were to fight Jacobs, it wouldn't be as impressive because there is no real champion like Saunders. Therefore, Jacobs-Saunders can create hype around the winner for a potential GGG fight.
Jacobs wants GGG? This is news to me. Last I knew he wanted far too much money for a guy who offers no title that GGG needs.

Never mind the fact Jacobs is with Haymon, so they may as well be playing different sports.

$3M seems like a great offer for BJS. I know he's talking about twice that much & fair enough if thats a deal breaker for him, but $3M is life changing money & he's not gonna get that for any other fight probably. I'd think he might not even get that big a offer from Canelo even though Canelo is the money guy in the division, but K2 is desperate to get as widely ranked opponent as possible.

Agreed. Canelo's reputation as the new "money man" is severely overstated. Kirland got 1.3m from him, and Lara got 1m. BJS wouldn't get more than 2m from Canelo unless Canelo decides that having another belt would help him in negotiations w Golovkin later.

BJS is full of fluff too. Him and his team have been badmouthing and downplaying Eubank Jr rematch for months now. He obviously has no interest in it, and it wont pay him 3m.

You don't offer that kind of money to someone if you're screwing around.

They want Saunders' belt because it makes the fight vs. Canelo for the Undisputed AND Lineal title, and improves Golovkin's bargaining position as well.

The only reason why the tentative plan is Johnson is because he's a mandatory. The IBF rules are that unifications trump mandatories, the mandatory challenger simply has to wait.

Saunders is therefore the only fight they can take besides Johnson without paying Johnson step-aside money.
I didn't say they were screwing Saunders around. Saunders said he had more attractive options (easier fights) that were paying comparable money.

As for Saunders belt, the IBF rules, and all that other ****. I don't give a f.uck about belts. They don't mean **** to me.

As for what having another belt giving GGG more bargaining power with Canelo. NO IT DOESN'T!!! GGG could have 1000 belts and it wouldn't do a damn thing for him in the Canelo negotiations. He lost all his "bargaining power" against Canelo when his PPV bombed its ass off.
