where is the link for that I had heard it was 'over 2 million' If t's really 3.2 million that is like six times saunders' career high payday and way bigger than he could make in any other fight for the foreseeable future.

K2 doesn't need to hurry and do the Johnson fight. Golovkin has 9 months to do the Johnson IBF mandatory, which is June/July or it goes to purse bid. The end of May is the WBC deadline for Alvarez, which if Alvarez agrees, would give Golovkin a unification exception from having to fight Johnson for 90 days after the Alvarez fight.

If they can't get Saunders to fight, I'd rather they took that big money and went after Jacobs or Lara.

If GGG doesn't unify with BJS before Alvarez, than Alvarez would have the strategic option to drop WBC title and fight with BJS for WBO at 155. In that case Alvarez will probably get the world title in MW without such a nuisance as GGG being his mandatory.

Why's that?
BJS is a good fighter, has a belt and is undefeated. Outside of Canelo, he brings more than any other MW to the table.

Since they're negotiating for an end of April fight, and the training camps last 8-12 weeks, that gives them until end of January to negotiate with whoever they like. There's no reason to move on from this until it's definitely not happening.

All other options aren't as appealing. Quillin and Lee are coming off losses and their promoters wont put them in with Golovkin. Jacobs has unrealistic money expectations, brings nothing to the table and is managed by Haymon. Johnson is a good fighter, but again, brings nothing to the table and biggest reason he's considered is because he's a mandatory.

Exactly. Warren and Saunders are pretending they are interested in some lame attempt of trying to save face so when it does not happen, they can say "we tried".

We know their interest level from previous statements. It is not like their previous statements suddenly become lost in time.
