If you talk **** and represent yourself as the heel or the ****y fighter, then you're asking for some sort of hate. McGregor isn't as beloved as people think he is among the MMA community. There's a large portion of fans that don't like him because they think he's too ****y.

There's no doubt some part of the Mayweather hate is racial, for being a dominant black athlete. For example Serena Williams gets bashed for her looks, yet she's the most dominant female athlete of all time. But I refuse to believe that it's the only thing defining factor between the two.

Let's not forget what Mayweather did outside the ring... He has domestic violence and assault charges dating back to 2002. On top of that there was that racial slur towards Asians that went viral in 2010 on his live stream. That stuff matters. You can't force people to forget about those things.

When you combine his ****iness, self promotion, dominance with the fact that he committed domestic violence and assault and all these other things, it's not hard to see why he's more hated than McGregor.

McGregor talks trash, but his resume outside the Octagon is clean.
