boxing fans acting elementary when in the real world of political debate such conversations run on a daily basis regarding racism and inequality.

the essence of Donald Trump runs nicely from so many forum posters as they take it for granted that Trump does not symbolize diplomatic objectivity for everyone...only what he likes to hear, and many Americans love it!

Kind of like a group of people back in the old days when a dude got lynched as they were cheering for it, a colored man being executioned! That's NOT the same as capital punishment around the world and its history ala the guillotine (beheadings) or executioners.

Ah but Floyd says it all diplomatically and objectively people don't like to hear the truth. As if domestic violence is anything new in the world, ask Jim Lampley! Apparently a boxer is held more accountable than a regular bloke? By Floyd slapping a woman or whatever, it'd still get measured up to the publicity he has received. Same thing with Mel Gibson, say anything about the ***s and you are crossing the line in Hollywood. But whenever another race is mentioned it's ok. The reality is domestic violence and assaults on a general basis along with the photos shown from a woman's face outweights anything Floyd did... And they tried to do it with Tyson too. But what does a regular ''Turkish'' bloke know about these things. watch the irony of racism to come when people reference Turkish in the responses to come. And I ain't even Turkish. lol

People gravitate towards people for different reasons. It's an emotional response, not a logical one. So yeah, people do have bias and favoritism, but just because they're not as annoyed with a white boxer being arrogant and talking trash as they were with a black one doesn't automatically mean the reason is because of racism.

The overwhelming majority of boxing's biggest stars have been black, and Floyd himself made somewhere in the neighborhood of 500-700 million, correct? Also, if we're gonna talk favoritism, then tell me why are 99.9% of the fighters Mayweather is training in his gym the same skin color as him? If you're gonna accuse people of racial bias, then maybe someone should point a finger at Floyd as well...

That's not the point. You're just stating what everybody knows, the demographic percentage in boxing. Again, you're not contextualizing Floyd's point. You might want to follow articles and other industry figures talking about endorsement deals. As others stated, ''white priviledge'' is a symbolic meaning first and foremost that any perspective cannot be viewed as 50/50. There's still an obvious resonance about racism. The problem is many ignorant try to justify racism objectively as if no circumstances make a difference, therefore, Floyd is 'wrong' therefore hes automatically hypocritical.

I'm sure there's an easier way to say what you're saying - I think I get it

its an illness to think like that. that a man has to suffer for every mistake forever..
I don't hold it against him...I genuinely like him and will be attending his UK tour.

However, you can't have those issues in your past, along with many others, and play the role of the bad guy - then blame race for not being as popular as another guy who doesn't have those issues. He tried to be a hate or love figure and that's what he is.

McGregor's popularity is nothing to do with race, it's about a guy who promises KO's at the highest level and delivers them in exciting fashion, talks trash (without trying to be disliked), brings a good level of humour....it's entirely different.

to be honest i attribute 75% of mayweather's unpopularity to arum's smear campaign. arum is an expert at media manipulation and he has been ****ting on floyd ever since he left him

Actually racism is really huge in Ireland, and he waves his flag around to represent his people, so did Floyd at the Olympics. But surely Conor can't be racist, 100% certainty, when Ireland itself poses huge racism against its **********...but who knows... certainly it's impossible...

Talks trash without trying to be disliked? I don't recall Floyd ever saying that if he fought in Medieval times he'd murder those against him, referring to Aldo or opposition. Yes, Conor says these things, advocating murder...but it's all just trash talk as you say innit. 'Brings a good level of humour' well now isn't that subjective even though I agree with you innit? But of course, if Floyd says it, NO!!

So obviously it's entirely different because a regular bloke thinks the world is crystal!

I'm a white man from Northern Ireland, I'm a musician and nearly all of my heroes are black. For sure I can never understand what it's like, but like I said, it's a horrible thing that needs to be wiped out. The marketability thing I stand by, GGG is likeable and he knocks mother****er OUT! Floyd's one of my favourite fighters, I've been watching his fights all morning, but Ward is not worthy of the p4p spot, let's see what he does against Kovalev, grab all night I expect.
That "i'm comfortable with my sexuality" after saying something suspect is overused. Never in my life have I ever heard a straight grown man calling another grown man cute. That's gay af no matter how you slice it. Not that it matters, it's the 21st century, gay is kinda normal now socially. But you probably would never use the word cute for a grown man in front of your family or friends, which would show that you are actually not comfortable with your sexuality, and you are hiding it. Of course here you are anonymous and you can come out momentarily in your posts. Some posters do that here so you are not alone.
