Walters is being set up to be called a ducker.

Arum started the Uchiyama rumor two days before Walters fight with Sosa. The Uchiyama announcement came out of the blue and hasn't been confirmed by anyone but Arum. Walters nor Uchiyama's management has spoken about it being agreed to. We don't even know if Walters is still signed to Top Rank. His last fight was was supposedly his last fight under TR and when asked about his current status with TR here was their response:

Walters is co-promoted with Warriors Boxing, a promotional outfit that does a lot of business with PBC. If Walters contract is up with TR, popular opinion is Walters will sign with Haymon and fight for PBC. By Bob coming out with these Uchiyama rumors he has everyone thinking he's going to make a fight with both fighters who aren't even signed to him and neither fighter's management has confirmed.

So when Walters signs with Haymon everyone will say he's ducking Uchiyama. Once again, Arum started this rumor 2 days before Walters fight with Sosa and nobody but Arum has confirmed they'll fight. Arum also told us Bradley vs. Ali was a go for Nov. 21st in Dubai. Bradley wound up fighting Rios. Arum also told us Rios vs. Brook was a go. Rios ended up fighting Bradley. Arum also told us Pacquiao could pick whomever he wanted for his last fight in April. Pacquiao picked Broner, Arum shut that fight down and Pacquiao will be fighting Bradley again. He's also saying it's not Pac's last fight.

Arum does have guaranteed dates with HBO. Uchiyama is 36 years old and could be looking for one fight in America before he ends his career. Bob could convince him to come fight on HBO in America against a fighter that's actually signed to TR, Jason Sosa. And then we'll start hearing Walters ducked Uchiyama by running to Haymon. This is how opinions are formed and everyone forgets what was actually going on. Just look at the thread about Uchiyama right now. Everyone is acting as if the fight is a sure thing but no one but Bob is talking about it. But if that scenario happens it's the fault of PBC. They don't get ahead of this stuff and Bob is the master of media manipulation. If they are on the verge of signing Walters they need to also be in touch with Uchiyama's management to set a fight up.

If anyone has info showing Walters is still with TR or that Uchiyama's management has confirmed they've agreed to a fight in America with Bob please post it.

LOL. That's exactly what's going on. Uchiyama is Walters' "Margarito". Arum marked that mans record up with a disgraceful draw and now he will label him a ducker talking about "he left because he wanted no parts of Uchiyama".

uchiyama did call out walters recently and say he'd like to fight in the USA in 2016. i'd love to see walters face uchiyama and lomachenko before leaving HBO but i can't really blame a fighter for getting away from arum

Great example with Margarito. Crazy that people think Floyd ducked Margarito when he'd already shown against Gatti what he does to slow, stationary, come forward targets. And Mayweather was calling out Oscar who was a better fighter.

For sure this is what Arum is trying to make the narrative be with Walters. Arum's greatest asset arguably is his ability in manipulating the boxing media & therefore the fans. Thing is thats kinda his job with how boxing is setup these days. You wanna keep guys under your promotional control & hype them or you wanna tear them down when they leave. Boxing eats its children lol.

The whatever part of this is assuming Walters were to go to PBC based on the known information its probably as or more likely this fight with Uchiyama could be setup on free TV or Showtime & get both guys paid more than HBO/Arum would pay them so this could easily backfire for Arum.

Although I'm sure certain people will act like Walters vs Uchiyama on HBO would be somehow superior than Walters vs Uchiyama on PBC/Showtime, but those types of people are just followers & in 10 years if PBC is successful will be all up Haymon's ass like their up HBO's/Arum's ass today so there opinions matter little & are steered towards power over logic.

Uchiyama is not tied to Top Rank or HBO. What stops Walters-Uchiyama from happening on PBC? PBC has featured several Asian fighters; Kamedas, Kono, Obara, Shumenov.

Lets see what kind of competition Walters fights over in PBC (if he signs) because I seriously doubt the boxing world is to intrigued about some Jamaican SFW "supposedly" ducking some UNKNOWN Japanese SFW. Comparing these two to Floyd and Margarito is like apples and oranges in popularity and class, people have been trying for the passed decade+ to say hes been ducking someone even trying to raise the dead saying hed duck them. Walters and Uchiyama dont even have close to that appeal. Lets just hope Walters faces some stiffer competition, gets his fair dues, and KO's dudes in exciting fashion like we have seen before.

True and that's my point about PBC not getting out in front of these type of things. If Walters is close to signing with them and Uchiyama's management is looking to come to America to fight they should be on the phone with Uchiyama before Bob sets up the Uchiyama vs. Sosa fight. When it comes to media manipulation PBC is horrible.

I read they had like two more fights locked in with Walters. I wonder which it is.

Thats a bit of a stretch, no? Pacquiao "considered" Broner would be a better description, because all we know is that Koncz reached out to Broner to gauge interest. To say Pac "picked" him is speculation.......
