I mean really who cares anymore to see this fight? This fight was supposedly multiple times and still nothing has come of it.

If this fight happens it should be announced the day the contract is signed then the promoters can talk about how it is finalized and done.

Stevenson and Kovalev are at two different points in their careers. One is considered a top 10 may 5 boxer in the world is taking out elite fighters in their division. While the other has seen his star/popularity fade quickly into the night.

Both should just move on and concentrate on fights that can be realistically be made. For Example:

Kovalev: Andre Ward, Jean Pascal, Sullivan Barrera, Slava
Stevenson: Alvarez, Fonfara, Beterbiev

Good, Kovalev + Stevenson = Undisputed Champion of LHW, get it...

If the TV works together, if HBO open doors to Haymon or if they are open to a purse bid; the fight is on.
But if she continu with her little games, lies and sociopathic behaviors; this fight wont happend because at the end, she doesn't want it. She's only boosting Kovalev reputation without doing the necessary to make that fight a reality...

Ditto. At the end of the day, Stevenson is feeling his stock plummet and has gotten a little more vocal about wanting to face Kovalev. Before that, he was acting like Money Stevenson part of Al Haymon's TMT or something.

He probably thought he was getting a Floyd-esque showtime contract -- the dummy. "The people don't wanna see me face Kovalev, they want Carl Froch". Remember that one.

Now that Kovalev has done the groundwork, beaten all the names and picked up all the belts, it's "he backed out of the purse bid, he scared doe". For the love of Christ, how can any self-respecting individual take Stevenson's side based off of the "purse bid" thing. The fight was being primed when Kovalev fought on his undercard on HBO. The perfect moment and they took a different route. Nothing supersedes that. Not the backing out of the purse bid, not Kathy Duva being shady; not Kovalev being locked into a HBO contract.

A defending champion who wants to face his #1 challenger does not need a purse bid in order to face him. You're the champ, you can make it happen whenever you want to. You can face him if he is a mandatory or you can face him voluntarily.

So much nothing to defend Kovalev.
Look, Stevenson is aiming the Belts. He made a deal to fight Hopkins, which had the IBF and WBA; and Hopkins fleed to Kovalev at HBO.
REMEMBER, Kovalev only had the WBO at the time, which is the only belt not required to become Undisputed Champion.

Obviously the likes of Chilemba don't have an exclusive HBO contract so not sure what your point is there. It's really no shock she can't win purse bid vs Haymon flush with hedge fund money, but whatever they're offering is way more than Stevenson's been making, and tons more exposure

Wrong on both ends. Look at Stevenson last purse compared to Kovavlev. As far as exposure both guys would benefit by having more viewers being able to see them fight. It's one thing if it were to go on PPV (In Canada it can happen because of Stevenson).

All Stevenson side has been saying is let it go to purse bid (that Duva demanded) and the winner gets to decide the channel which is more than fair. There is a reason he is fighting Pascal again and that is because he can't draw without him.

They should do it on a neutral channel like ESPN, and just add Max Kellerman to the broadcast team since he already works for them too.

This fight is bigger than anything Stevenson will do in the future. Kov has bigger fights like Ward or even Beterbiev if he grows the fan base in 2016. I see Adonis getting beat up by Ward, Hopkins, Pascal and Beterbiev. He needs this fight bad.

Look man, Stevenson's ratings have plummeted since he left HBO, ditto live gate, ditto fan respect. This is the best cure available. If this is a low ball offer, we'll hear it from Michel I'm sure.
