How long will Deontay Wilder avoid the top heavyweights?

His Spoon feeding spoon comes in large size so maybe when PBC comes up with another hype job they'll cash Wilder outWill Deontay Wilder ever fight someone like Ortiz, Fury, Povetkin, or Joshua?
Or will he continue to take "safe" fights, choosing journeyman opponents like Molina and DuHaupas, or fringe contenders like Szpilka who are not in the top ten?
Wilder is age 30 now. It's time for him to grow up.Comment

You're either mis-informed or straight up lying. The WBC moved the date back because Povetkin scheduled a fight in November. Just in case you're mis-informed:
Wilder was ready after his sept voluntary but Povetkin engaged in another fight https://t.co/ic9BzUVbLZ
— Mauricio Sulaiman (@wbcmoro) November 21, 2015
http://www.************.com/2015/11/...on-cotto-more/The World Boxing Council’s 53rd annual convention continued today at the InterContinental Hotel. Most of the day’s general assembly meeting was devoted to mandatory world title defenses.
Heavyweight world champion: Deontay Wilder (US)
No. 1 ranked mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin of Russia, who also holds the WBC Silver title, is scheduled to fight Mariusz Wach tonight in Kazan, Russia. A representative for Povetkin told the assembly today that Povetkin will not be ready for his mandatory title challenge in January, when it’s due, but if he wins tonight, he will be ready in April or May. If Povetkin loses tonight, the WBC will address the mandatory situation. A voluntary title defense was approved for Wilder on January 16.
Now you're informed. If you continue to say he refused to negotiate or ducked then you're flat out lying.Comment

That quote is from Nov 17, AFTER Wilder decided he wanted another voluntary. Povetkin fought on Nov 4. Sulaiman will say whatever his master Al Haymon wants him to.
And it doesn't change the fact that Wilder avoided Povetkin by taking the SECOND voluntary in September, despite the fact that Povetkin was wanting to fight at that time.
Wow, great link you posted.

Stiverne struggled with 40 something Ray Austin, his only "notable" win came over a SHOT Chris Arreola.Originally posted by PigeonsWilder is underrated.
He defeated the #3 heavyweight (http://www.tbrb.org/2015/10/10/13-january-2015/), Stiverne, for the WBC belt. That heavyweight is still rated #6 (http://www.tbrb.org/all-rankings/) today.
Both are journeymen, below even fringe contender (top 25 or so) status. And I;d say Molina is below top 40, more like about #60. Wilder avoided Povetkin to fight Duhaupas!Originally posted by PigeonsHis first two defenses came vs. top-40 boxers.
Why not a top ten, after all he's the WBC beltholder and it's his THIRD voluntary defense.Originally posted by PigeonsHis next defense is vs. a top-20 boxer.
I doubt it.Originally posted by PigeonsAfter his next fight, he will fight the #2 heavyweight (http://www.tbrb.org/all-rankings/), Povetkin.
So suddenly BoxRec is a good source, although you've ridiculed me for using it?Originally posted by PigeonsHe also holds a win over Malik Scott, who is the #8 heavyweight (http://boxrec.com/records?reset=1&se...weight&status=) on BoxRec.
Most people saw that Malik Scott took a dive against Wilder.
Scott's current ranking on BoxRec is the result of a decision win over old faded Tony Thompson.

Didn't know Wilder is already 30. He will have to fight a real opponent next year. Will Deontay Wilder ever fight someone like Ortiz, Fury, Povetkin, or Joshua?
Or will he continue to take "safe" fights, choosing journeyman opponents like Molina and DuHaupas, or fringe contenders like Szpilka who are not in the top ten?
