    No.

Povetkin wanted to fight Wilder back in Sept/Oct, but Wilder wanted to fight the journeyman DuHaupas. So Povetkin took a fight with Wach, and now Wilder is using that as an excuse to have another voluntary and avoid Povetkin longer.

        We'll see

Hopefully Povetkin won't choose to fight anyone after Wilder takes out Szpilka

That's not what happened. After the WBC announced the negotiation period was to begin in October Povetkin said he wanted to take a break from boxing until the negotiations begin. Then he turned around and announced a fight with Wach before Wilder announced his fight with Duhaupas. When he announced his fight with Wach is when he said he wanted the Wilder fight now. Even though it was said in June that the negotiations won't start until October and the fight in January. Ya'll hate Wilder so much ya'll will ignore the facts just to claim he's ducking someone.

I don't think he is. Someone put a timeline together in another thread. I'll try to find it and post the link

            Edit: Here it goes...

I don't think so. He will just accuse the best ones like Ortiz and Joshua of using illegal drugs and that will be his excuse not to fight them.

another poster pointed this out as soon as Wilder's camp did this. he wouldn't negotiate, then as soon as povetkin made another fight, he pretended to want to fight him.

Wilder's chin seems very weak. Some fringe contender may surprise him and knock him out. Wilder does have fast hands and big power but he also has a mediocre defense and poor punch resistance.

No, Wilder was granted another voluntary in September by the WBC BEFORE Povetkin signed to fight Wach.

Because the WBC had already said the negotiations were to begin in October. So Wilder choose a September fight and Povetkin choose to fight in November. I still don't understand why he would choose to fight in November when he's already been guaranteed a January fight. The Champion has up to one year to defend against the mandatory. Scheduling negotiations for October and having the fight in January was right on track. Wilder fighting Duhaupas in September kept everything on track. It didn't affect Povetkin one bit.
